When your back’s against the wall, the one thing you DON’T do is Nothing.
If you keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll keep getting what you’re getting.
Changes for Saturday??14 March 2019 at 11:05 am #177257Beat Bolton on Saturday
14 March 2019 at 12:11 pm #177261Not another one of those “Winnable “games…..Had a few of those to look forward to….not won many !! Whys this any different than the others against teams below us…Bolton, Millwall, QPR,Rotherham,Preston, Ipswich, Reading…3pts from a possible 21!!! Cooks fired us up for those hasn’t he.??
14 March 2019 at 1:26 pm #177264We have definitely struggled against the sides below us but have grabbed points off the sides we probably shouldn’t have, so who knows what will happen.
14 March 2019 at 4:50 pm #177285What’s more worrying is the way were conceding of late. Clubs are finding us so easy to break down as soon as they press us.
Since he brought Olson in we’ve conceded 6 in 2.Why does he feel the need to do so ?. I know Kipre is no world beater but at least he has an understanding with Dunkley and get James back were he belongs. We’ve got midfielders even MacDonald so I don’t know why he’s done it it just upset the apple cart.
For me Geldhart needs to be thrown on the bench from now till the end of the season and when everything else is failing give the lad a chance to go in latics folk law.Let’s say coming on against the Knuckledraggers in the last game and hit a 90th minute winner to keep us up and have his name go down in the Latics hall of fame of goals scorers along with,
Watson,
Grigg,
Rodallega,
N’Zogbiajust to name a few, please add more :-

I prefer Kipre to Dunkley personally and do think that they should be the middle 2 if Fox is out. I also don’t like James in midfield as I think we lose his attacking capabilities.
14 March 2019 at 4:58 pm #17728914 March 2019 at 5:49 pm #177291If some our players aren’t motivated then I see no problem in bringing in players that 1) have something to prove and 2) aren’t plagued by the fears of some of the older players.
It’s time to inject some enthusiasm. Experience has dragged us to where we are now so I don’t see how it will get us out of it. Throw the opposition a curve ball and bring in the likes of Baningime to start and Gelhardt to throw on later. They aren’t burdened in the same way some of the current players seem to be.
14 March 2019 at 9:04 pm #177296Our on field issues are steadily getting worse….Behind the scenes none of us have a clue what the future holds. Owners we know virtually zip about,money/no money???..The rhetoric about investing in youth is admirable but is that just a smoke screen to stave of supporter cries for immediate player investment??…Also we could be in league 2 before we see any results from that ,at least other clubs will benefit from us loaning them out. The Powell situation is as expected, weighing up his options whilst trying to get to May injury free.Since his return he has been a shadow of what we know he’s capable of and as a player with undoubted talent I would have expected leadership qualities to resonate from him,as it is he’s been a virtual spectator. Is it also down to the dark cloud the Cook seems unable to lift or is he just counting down to the exit door ? Either way for the fabulous way the club have supported him during his various injury abscences he owes it to everyone to throw away the 65 minute white flag tucked up his sleeve and show us all fight, determination ,ability and heart to lift us out this gloom. If he turns up,so do we !!!

I do, but let’s face it, he’s been our best player this season but a proverbial country mile in that position.
Surely your not gonna hold that one game against the guy are you ?. A player who would comfortably hold his own in most Prem sides.
He played like the rest, not harsed and looked beaten with 10 gone. He’s done us proud I just wish we had half a dozen James’s then we wouldn’t be in this sh1t.15 March 2019 at 4:11 am #177308If some our players aren’t motivated then I see no problem in bringing in players that 1) have something to prove and 2) aren’t plagued by the fears of some of the older players. It’s time to inject some enthusiasm.
