He says he spoke to 2 clubs over the summer which is widely known (I’m assuming Liverpool & Villa) but that he also spoke with “another 3”.
Not knocking him coz if 5 other employers wanted to speak to me & were potentially offering me more money/prestige etc.. then I’d speak to them, but I was wondering exactly who the other 3 were??
I’d have West Brom down as another but am struggling to think of another 2. I know Spurs were looking for a new man but I’d be amazed if he was even on their radar
It would have been more exciting if we had stuffed Bradford,more spin from him again :(‘I’m glad I stayed with Wigan. Although we’ll never win anything, and when I try out fringe players in the cup games it always goes tits up, we’ve just had the house decorated so there’s no point moving.
I don’t blame the fans for being annoyed about the Bradford game. Our whole season could hinge on that result and it’s not as if we made amends a few days later by winning way against one of the big London teams.
I wanted to give game time to some lads who don’t play that often, and thought that a team which contained the top scorer in South American football a few seasons ago, a player who played in the Dutch Eredivisie for eight years, two ex-La Liga defenders, and several players with Premier League experience would beat a League 2 team. Clearly I was wrong, and in future will make sure I play my best eleven as that shower of sh1t aren’t good enough and I don’t care if they are whining about never getting a game.
I now appreciate that giving the fans a big day out in London is much more important than trying to keep some harmony in the squad whilst seeing how some of the other players perform and assess if they are good enough to make it into the starting eleven.
I’m sick of trying to big up the club, give it some exposure in the media, and make sure Wigan Athletic doesn’t become a club nobody has heard and nobody wants to play for. I’m also sick of this taking the club to ‘the next level’ nonsense. Realistically the best we should expect this season is mid-table mediocrity, which is not exciting at all. We might even start playing our home games in grey with a huge sad face painted on the front of the shirts.
If I was a player I wouldn’t bother signing for us. We’ve got no ambition and I don’t know why the fans bother watching us.

You have far to much time on your hands if you are spouting drivel like this Whereas everybody hangs on your every word.
