Couple of roaches, not once were they not paid and not one missed wage. Both took wages from the club out of season for 8 weeks fully knowing in the end they were off.

Why would they?, he will be a massive asset to Wigan this season. Maloney has been purring over his commitment to get fit. You should know, he scored a ponful of goals for the cheesy chips in league one the last time he was fully fit.

I really don’t like the way Whatmough has gone about this in waiting till the last minute to terminate his contract. If he’d done it straight after the final game of the season (which he played in btw) then I think there’d be a bit more sympathy.
But let’s not kid ourselves that the rest of the players are staying because of loyalty.
Whatmough will likely match or improve his weekly wage when he moves on. The reality is that the only other 2 players who could do that are Thelo and Hughes and because of this we have given them improved contracts. None of the other players are going to improve on the ridiculous contracts they already have so obviously they aren’t going to rip them up.
Let’s get it right Whatmough is an ok player but he’s no Rio Ferdinand that’s for sure.

Good to see you are still talking Shyte. Aiden McGeady made 8 assists that season so if all were for Wyke then that’s just 8 out of 30+. I think with Callum Mac and Johnny Smith out wide he will get some decent service.

Apparently those 3 players activated the get out cause several weeks ago and Maloney was well aware. He included Keane and Whatmough in the Hungary trip to see if he could change their minds. That throws a completely different view point on the matter, well it does for me.

So the club said, “Yep that’s fine, we’ll pay you for the next few weeks,you’d spend money, we’ll take you training overseas, we’ll get you fit and pay your wages and save your potential new club a few bob ?”
The season ended when ? 10 weeks ago and they announce it 10 days before season starts ?. That’s been the plan, get fit, get paid, use us,say nothing the wack it on the desk the week before,come on let’s get fcukin real on this one hey !.
When you activate that clause your gone, your contract ends there and then. You can’t semi-active it.
So you resign at work but you say to your boss errrr I’m leaving but on my terms and I’ll pick the date when I want to go so I can get paid till my new job starts.
Again my point is this,
I’m sure they never activated the clause but Maloney “might” of been aware of something in the mist but wasn’t told the truth by him or his agent.in the Wigan Today Maloney hints at agent intervention.Do you not think Maloney sat each player down and asked them their thoughts and position ?.
Now back to my point of honesty and respect these 2 cnuts didn’t show any.
If they had of activated the clause weeks ago they’d have been long gone so they didn’t Kendricks talking dog sh*t.Both players hung on till the start of the season and have had their heads spun especially Whatmough of bigger wages.
Now that’s fine wanting more money I get it but it’s not the current owner and manager who created the mess so don’t treat them and the club like stuff stuck to your shoe.
