Funny how the people who would begrudge him going to Liverpool are the same people who were calling for his head 6 months ago!!!!!!
I know it can be a bit frustrating hearing Whelan talking up players/managers that come good as if to put them in the shop window but surely this is one of our biggest attractions to young talented players that they can follow a similar route as the likes of Valencia without the club digging their heels in.
Look at the likes of Blackburn holding on to an unhappy Samba it didnt get them very far did it!!!

I Worked on The Liverpool Echo for 4 years before going to Fleet Street in 1969.Iam retired now.But oh what iwould give to walk into the Echo office on Monday with my Latics shirt on.IT IS FANTASTIC.
