Does this gobshoite even know when to keep his fookin trap shut? Last neets interview on ssn just shows he cares jack about us fans. To state vigorously live on tv that Martinez is here for the long haul and he wont sack him has given the Spanish genius licence to carry on losing. So if we lose the next 2 league games heavilly as i expect old Bobby is under no pressure whatsoever to change tact and put things reet. Whelan then has the brass neck to question why crowds are dwindling. Well guess what Dave? “WE DONT LIKE SEEING OUR CLUB ANNHIALATED WEEK IN WEEK OUT AND BEING MADE A LAUGHING STOCK COZ YOU WONT GET RID OF THE TOTALLY INEPT MANAGER YOU EMPLOYED” The most annoying thing is that Whelan played the game at the highest level so for christ sake he should see more than most that Martinez,s ideas and tactics just dont work. I dont care if we go down and it doesnt really bother me too much if we have to sell off our best players thats just a fact of life when your a small club. What i will not accept in any way is that i have followed this club home and away for over 40 years and untill Martinez took charge this club has filled me with nothing but pride and success. Why should Wigan Athletic fans keep turning up to see their beloved club losing its dignity its pride and its heart and then listen to Whelan bang on about them staying away. Doesnt he realise it bloody hurts to see them lose narrowly so to see them thrashed regularly is too much to bare.
We won tonight though and a clean sheet as well

I agree with you mate, I bet Whelan was expecting the fans to flood in this season. I must admit – I thought attendances would rise slightly but the deal with WishFm has really done them in.so was i expecting more fans though like you said blackpool did the damage

Was disappointed to see Whelan so emphatic in his support for Martinez, maybe rather than speak live he could have just issued a statement through Sky. However, if anyone expected him to say, RM is sacked if we lose the next 2/3 games in a live interview, then they are just being ridiculous.
Oh and as for the comment about the WISH FM deal, that would just about sum up some of our so-called supporters in this town. If us having a deal with a local radio station is making such a different to the bone idle not getting off their backsides, then it really is time to give up on a number of “fans” in Wigan

no mate the wish fm thing is the banal witterings of a 13 year old child!. back to school next week though thank fcuk!!
If RM stays the only thing bothering me is I have forked out for the season ticket so I feel obliged to get or not get as the case may be,my monies worth ! The South American correspondent on Talksport said today that we should never have bought Boselli if we are going to play him on his own because he just does not function like that ! In other words a waste of money !! :(
