Whelan ahead of his time again

I seem to rememebr Whelna saying about 4 years ago that he would pay no more than a 12k per week bassic with the rest based on appearances/goals, etc.

Not sure whether he ever stuck religiously to this but people appear to coming around to his way of thinking.

We’ll be on salary caps, one piece of bog roll each, turning out the floodlights at half-time and hand-pi$$ing to keep warm, before you can say “sorry Jason, no you’re not having as much as Emile”
