Wigan chairman Dave Whelan insists that the club would not take anything less than £15million for Hugo Rodallega.
The Colombian striker has emerged as one of the most promising strikers in the Premier League.
Arsenal, Aston Villa and Stoke have all been linked with big-money summer bids, but Whelan insists he will not be allowed to leave on the cheap.
“I would say £15million for Rodallega isn’t outrageous,” he said in the Daily Mail.
“He is a player we do not want to sell and I would love it if he started next season with us.
“But equally sometimes we have to sell a player like this, we have no choice.”

Sorry, I misread the title and thought it said ‘Whelan sets Rodallega free’.I had an image of Rodallega with his dreads bouncing, bounding across a savannah and disappearing into the sunset…..

standish come and join me over on the darks side -its the place to be -you can get away with murder as nearly everone disagrees with you and life is never dull -you can like me, compose the most outragous things knowing you will get a bite ,come on over you know you want to really :evil: :evil:

I think at a push they could be classed as dreads :)I will be very surprised if anyone offers £15m for Rodders.
He’s a decent striker but at the most I would pay something like £8-10m for him.

I wouldn’t say it’s for certain, we kept Valencia for another year after being linked with United and Madrid and kept Palacios for an extra half of a season.
Of course we’re sell him at some point, wether anyone likes to admit it or not we are a selling club, but I hope to keep him for another season before selling him.
N’Zogbia on the other hand I’m almost certain will be gone.
