Loyalty is corrupt these days, ok, bobby showed it towards us regarding villa position. But something as important as staying in the top flight when we’re under pressure already? Friendships go out the window i’m afraid.

but by not sacking him now ,h what do you read into that ?I read that like many of us , DW believes that we have had a bad start to the season but we have had very bad luck with injuries and that in some games our performance has deserved a better result. He is therefore confident that Bob will turn things round.
This league is very tight this season , two good wins and we could be mid-table.
Hence the tumbling of the odds on Bob being the next Prem Manager casualty !! Its very much a tick tock thing from now on !

No he shouldn’t, and no manager ever would be sacked for a comment like that. You either don’t or won’t understand how the media works. As I know you’re not thick it must be option two.

Well i must be thick then in this case so can you please explain it to me -and why his comments are anything to do with “how the media works”
I would of thought the correct response should have been something like ‘of course it concerns me,but i know we will correct things with hard work’

What i do think is it seems that arrogance is a trait in the spanish psyche, the more he talks, the more he sounds like the two previous spanish premiership managerial failures in benitez and ramos.

And having met him and questioned him and tried (very half-heartedly, admittedly, and with no real skill) to goad him into admitting failings of both him and the team, you just cannot shake the positivity out of him. I think it’s neither arrogance, not ignorance nor naivety on his part. I just think he refuses to offer any ounce of negativity, maybe because he feels that’s what his players want to hear him say in public.
Either way, he ain’t gonna get sacked over his press utterings, that’s for definite.
