My brother-in-law is a United season ticket holder (and NEVER let us complain about ticket prices!) who lives in Sale and constantly has to defend himself against the usual taunts about United fans. He does actually support his local team

Or if we were getting pedantic Garswood, we could say he should be supporting Altrincham.
30 May 2011 at 11:06 pm #66969Arguable – I think he is actually nearer OT :?
Edit>
I stand corrected. Just put addresses into AA.
Old Trafford is 3.7 miles
Altrincham 2.1 miles.Have to tell him he’s a glory hunter.
Although by the same argument I should support Garswood United :?

If you’re staying anywhere near there then the best curry house for miles is just around the corner behind the Park pub – Golden Curry. Cheap (by southern prices) and really good food.
31 May 2011 at 10:01 pm #67000I have read this thread with interest and find it surprising how many fans either:
a. Live nearer to another ground.
b. Live outside the borough of Wigan.I seem to remember a few threads passing comment on the number of out-of-town fans of Wigan Warriors.
Pot. Kettle. Black.
