I have read this thread with interest and find it surprising how many fans either:
a. Live nearer to another ground.
b. Live outside the borough of Wigan.
I seem to remember a few threads passing comment on the number of out-of-town fans of Wigan Warriors.
Pot. Kettle. Black.
Don’t you also think that it’s amazing just how far some of us travel week in, week out to see our hometown team? Some of us are even ex-rugby players from Ince (albeit the proper, 15-a-side version of the game)

To be fair, your average rugby fan probably doesn’t have the brains/werewithall to venture outside of the Wigan Borough or at least not beyond 10 miles of the central reservation of the M62.

Please don’t come over all LMB on me, but I have edited your post!
Northernprimate, I was asking if you are that ex-union player, and if so, which club was that with?
I am, but only since living ‘down south’. I moved about a bit, eventually just playing for fun at Winslow, a small club in North Bucks.
Coming through the Wigan catholic school system I was drilled in playing RL and was convinced it was the better game. Moved to Cambridge aged 19 and one of my housemates played union. I went along and have never looked back. Far superior sport, on and off the field.
