Who is that idiot who comes on and speaks from time to time during games… ???? he is winding me and other fans up giving by the sounds of it, He gives it massive over the radio.. he sounds like a typical fan who just does not know the game…..!!!!! (not that us fans dont know what we are on about but this guy is shocking) but the actual commentator is pretty decent!!!! bring back wish fm i say!!!
As far as i know the commentator is Graham Lovett, who always sounds like he’s slurping a pie as he talks, and he is joined by Jamie Roberts who is the clubs statistical match analyst.
I can’t say I’ve heard their commentary. I’ll always have Lovett down as a rugby mon, anyway, I don’t care what he or anybody else says, after he used to commentate on them whilst McCann did ours.
Lovett i rememeber him – he did the rugby, he aint to bad to br fair, its the other guy who is annoying!! gives it massive, as if he should be the manager or something!! Idiot!! I just remember Lovett being so competitive with McCann, or so it seemed. Definitely a Rugby mon. But of course, we wouldn’t let one of them infiltrate our club, would we? :roll: Jobs for the boys, is it?
Jamie Roberts ‘assists’ the coaching staff by analysing our games using the ‘Prozone’ system.
In other words, he’s a wannabe manager who is probably pretty good on Championship Manager. :lol:
(I believe CM10 will actually have a decent edition of Prozone on it. I don’t play myself, but if you do, might be interesting?)Being honest though, a lot of people on here wouldn’t mind that job, me included, as long as it paid good enough. I’m betting it doesn’t though.
Personally, I think it’s a mistake for him to be commentating. If he comes out and says something in the spur of the moment, I.E. a criticism or something in angst, then surely it might go against him? Shouldn’t he be quietly concentrating on the game, making note of how many times we give the ball away, etc?
i agree mate, it does seem a little odd that the statistical analyst is commentating on the game, surely he shopuld be watching it making notes etc.. or giving feed back at halftime, instead he is comming out with silly quotes !!! and gives it massive about what he does.. bet he is brendas tea boy or something!!! ha
i aint listening to him on our next away trip would sooner get the updates via the web he is hurendous!!! cant stand it any longer!!! he should be on fanzone on soccer am!!!I really miss Matt McCann on WIsh. The stats guy at wigan is a bit of a laugjing stock by the sounds of it doing the commentry he sounds like an idiot!!!Lovett is a egg mon and also a Notlob fan i beleive was on Bowtons local station reporting ont Notlob
I am e-mailing the club – LOVETT AND JAMIE OUT MCCANN IN !!!!!! used to love listening to him when we were away, the team used to love him apprently!!! great bloke!!! lets get him back!!!!!! this jamie guy is a joke!!!! comes out with poor coments like he is a coach or something!!!
