15 goals in 29 games in Spain’s second tier this season, yet he managed only one start for Villarreal’s first team (at the Bernabéu, in something of a sacrificial appearance) and 29 minutes as a substitute spread over three games.
If we’d have paid £7 million for him, I’d have gone mental.
He has played for Argentina though, in an unofficial warm-up game for the Olympics, though Maradona’s squad selection is scatter-gun at best.

Get back in for that Ruben lad… Was excited about him coming after it was ‘all but signed’… Looks good and stats aren’t everything!
That Aduriz looks good also…Get in both in I say…If we keep signing strikers..one of them should be prolific!! :D
In all seriousness though think both the forementioned players look to have some class and would love to see them here.
