After seeing Huddersfield twice in around a month, I can say that they are absolutely nothing special. Had they not bagged points early in the season, they would definitely be banging around with us, Blackburn and Rotherham.
The only difference between the two very poor sides is they have that one consistent guy on the pitch that can keep it all together, in their case Hooy (he was best player on pitch in both games.
We on the other had have nobody that performs consistently in a central midfield role to steady the ship, or to push on when they see blood.
I thought Gomez was going to be that kingpin this season, but he has hardly got a sniff.3 January 2017 at 2:16 pm #153681After seeing Huddersfield twice in around a month, I can say that they are absolutely nothing special. 3 January 2017 at 3:22 pm #153692Was that the little fella. He put in a shift. Agree though nothing special but they have an in form goal scorer too.
3 January 2017 at 4:46 pm #153698He was No.10 for them Donny, big bald fella in midfield.
3 January 2017 at 5:43 pm #153702I thought Will Grigg was our best midfielder yesterday.
3 January 2017 at 5:54 pm #153703I thought Will Grigg was our best midfielder yesterday.Commented during the game that he was far too deep. Problem is that as he isn’t the quickest he doesn’t get into the area quick enough for the cross and we either cross to nobody or lose the momentum by having to come back.

Easy remedy Egg, play him as a centre forward and he will be in the box where he effing should be, and let someone else do all the donkey work.
How the hell he can be expected to bang goals in when he has to come so deep, win the ball, lay it off and then get in the box to be on the end of a cross is beyond me.
Nevermind though, we will play our fastest and most dangerous attacking midfield/wing player in a position totally alien to him instead.
We don’t play Jussi at centre half just because he is tall, so why play Wildshutt at CF just because he is fast? -
