Just think should leave him out to see how alcaraz and gohouri get on for next couple of games. Although they conceded 3 against Blackburn think Gohouri had a good game.
If Caldwell comes back it could be a :auto-crash:
Sorry

I know yer, im not gohoris biggest fan but my grandad is better than caldwell haha
The only 2 changes i would do is diame out for mccarthur and maybe start cleverly now hes fit instead of moses and get moses on about 60 mins
I really like moses but i think he is better used as an impact player than a starter, which i think is the opposit for cleverly11 February 2011 at 2:38 pm #59125I would like to see McArthur and Cleverly in for Watson and Diame and PLEASE NO CALDWELL
11 February 2011 at 2:39 pm #59126Bobby strikes me as a manager who doesn’t buy into that “you don’t change a winning team” philosophy.
Think he gave an interview on wigantoday.net the other day where he was praising the quality of the top flight & said gone are the days when a team only had one way of playing, at one pace, with the same group of players no matter who the opposition was (without seeing it again I may have added a bit to Bobby’s actual quote)
In light of that I wouldn’t bet against him going for a safety first policy at Anfield tomorrow with Stam on the right wing & I do think he will bring Caldwell in for Gohouri if he’s fitThat said I do think that there are changes which could be made to last weeks line up to improve things.
If he’s gonna play 4-5-1 I’d bring in McArthur for Watson with McCarthy alongside him & Cleverley in the hole. Same wingers, defenders, keeper & forward as last weekEDIT – great minds think alike keepthefaith!!!!

Although in the past ive slated watson, i think he’s played well the past 2 games, though maybe cleverly could do his role, play a bit deeper than normal, at least cleverly can pass haha
11 February 2011 at 3:19 pm #59129Caldwell played a blinder against Liverpool last time out, or was it last season. He could start !
11 February 2011 at 3:23 pm #59130The title of the thread is Why change a winning team. By the 2nd post 2 changes had already been proposed and more followed. Strange.
And why do people want to get shut of Diame? I think he’s been excellent these last 2 or 3 games.

I just think mcarthur seems to give alot more to the team, diame has improved the last couple of games though. Dont care what team we put out aslong as we WIN
  :dance:11 February 2011 at 8:02 pm #59139he’ll be on a high after scoring for the jocks on wednesday night too.
11 February 2011 at 11:30 pm #59155There used to be an old fashioned policy in football that if you played well and the team was winning then you kept your place. In modern day premiership football that doesn’t happen anymore even at a club with a small squad like ours. Once change he deffo must not do is bring that clown Thomas back

Agreed – Alcaraz and Gohouri had started to form quite a good partnership after 3-4 games into the early season and then it all went wrong once the Caldwell’s started popping up. Saturday hinted at that partnership being revived.
We haven’t had a consistent back four for two games on the trot all season I don’t think and shouldn’t change again on Saturday, esp. not for injury-prone Gary “the new Kirkland” Caldwell.12 February 2011 at 5:08 am #59189[link2:sfv6b0xi]Please no,http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11682_6744542,00.html%5B/link2:sfv6b0xi%5D

But I have to say that neither of the Chuckle Brothers (Caldwells) IMO would play for the first team again cause they are both absolute gash.
So Alcaraz and Gohouri it is
12 February 2011 at 2:57 pm #59204agree 100% about caldwell, please do not play this guy bob.yes,we conceded 3 last week but even though i`m not gouhori`s biggest fan that last 10 mins when rovers were bombardin those high balls in the box him and boyce hardly missed a header, figs is still the week link for me,if you watch him he just runs after the ball instead of stickin with his man,you see the amount of times this mon gets caught and the wide mans on his own.also, mcarthy for captain!
