17,000 fot Latics is `Poor`……………EH?
They don’t get 17,000 .. They get 8.5 thousand and take 2 seats each because they are all, Fat, sweaty, smelly, ugly MONGS!
Plus it is good for Rugby as nobody likes it, well nobody who is slim and smells nice. Also it is a very small sport which is only followed by fat people that failed at football and cannot play it.

You say it yourself. RL is a minority sport. I love the game and imo it is the best in the World, but the fact is it’s a minority sport.
17,000 HOME fans for a minority sport is good. 17,000 for the biggest sport in the World is ‘poor’.

Minority sport or not, Wigan is the world centre of rugby league is it not? Not, therefore, asking too much for them to sell almost all their seats is it, really?
That said, the fact remains that, whether we are talking football or rugby, we’re all Wiganers and as a result are lazy, tight and apathetic. Both team’s crowds, given their standing in their respective games, are an embarrasment to the town in my opinion.
Nobody goes watching Wigan Wasps or Wigan Wheelers anymore either, so it’s not just minority sports like rugby league that are struggling, Egg :shock:

Chip on the shoulder much? Nearly every town in is a football town due to it being the national sport. Rugby League is one of the alternatives and it is very much part of the the culture and identity of the town partly due it not being a “clone town” in the footballing sense. We should save our insults for the likes of Preston and Bolton really.
