No tickets available yet for the Norwich City game in less then two weeks , no end of season DVD available yet and no First Team Home Shirts available till September 7th. Can anyone please tell me what is going on at the Wigan Athletic Marketing Dept. ?

Griff… you confused me there with your inclusion of the question mark……
However, I am still of the belief that…..Marketing, publicity, PR, ticket sales, club, Et cetera Et cetera are controlled by those who may not have Wigan Athletic in their uppermost scheme of things (for want of a better way of explaining it)
FFS..although I heard adverts for season tickets on ‘Rock FM’ – a Preston based company…nothing has really been heard locally. (Is there a connection there somewhere?).
I have said it before and I will say it again…..there are ‘fifth columnists’ within the administration of the DW …..how else can any (business or otherwise) person release the kit that late in September.
There must be someone here (Mod perhaps) who could flag this up?

I wrote to the club regarding all matters mentioned here , the scattergun approach to marketing is beyond a joke and i can only imagine DW leaves them to it .
The reply i got was about ” contracts ” and ” time scales ” .
The Norwich tickets fiasco is on par with the Stoke mess last year .
Until we have a dedicated ” Marketing Man ” , up front and paid well to do a good job , then this will continue .We do have a marketing director. Might be an idea to stop getting on their backs about stuff you don’t really know the background to and do your jobs which is to support the team ;)

Just got back from fishing the Wye for a week. it was hard fishing, river very low and clear, had a few barbel and chub. :teasing-blah:
