Your point being….? ;)

That’s the biggest load of bollocks I have ever heard even you spout on here. In the 70s we got quiet a few scousers in – and they’re still there to be honest. But as for a huge influx of Mancs in Hindley/Hindley Green, it’s just plain wrong.
There’s plenty of Incers who moved there to better themselves, though.
Since when did anyone from Ince better themselves!

29 December 2011 at 8:56 pm #76558after all its only 13 miles as the crow flies from Hindley to Old Trafford – not much more than it is to the DW.
I take it geography isn’t your best subject.
Its not, but I do know how to find a route on a computer.
I got my information from Bing Maps. Taking Thomas St, Hindley (WN2 4) and destination M16 0RA. Selecting walking and it comes out at 13.7 miles, but as I said “As the Crow Flies”, that figure will come down slightly.
No need to apologise though – I make allowances for retards who dont look before they leap.
29 December 2011 at 9:36 pm #76560I think it was probably the bit about it not being much different to the DW that was his argument. Granted only a few miles but probably twice the distance.

Since my old man man moved from West Street, Higher Ince to Hindley Green and spawned me. There’s one example for you.

There is no point GL, it’s just a statement of fact. Just like there aren’t that many Mancs in Hindley, is also a statement of fact.
30 December 2011 at 4:31 am #76579its only 13 miles as the crow flies from Hindley to Old Trafford – not much more than it is to the DW.As the crow flies it’s around 13 miles to Old Trafford from Hindley and about about 3 miles to the DW.
By road, it’s 19 miles to Old Trafford and 5 miles to the DW.
So basically if you are choosing to travel by road – which most people do, or if you are indeed a crow wishing to fly there, it’s four times the distance to Old Trafford.
In summary, you’re talking shyte.

Thank fook you are a clerk, and deal on a daily basis with allowances, and not on the front-line.
errrrm!…………Retard.
30 December 2011 at 12:22 pm #76585There is the overspill from Liverpool which is a problem, which means the majority of people from around the likes of Winstanley, Goose Green and Hawkley Hall support Everton or Liverpool. That’s to be expected. Dad is born in Liverpool, supoorts Everton, moves to Wigan, brings son up to support Everton who brings his son up to support Everton etc etc. I’d be no different if I moved to Liverpool. My children would still be pushed towards Latics.
The Man Utd thing seems to be similar in some ways. Most of my family support Utd because that was the choice of Wiganers back in the 60s and 70s and the same thing happened. I was pushed towards Man Utd but thankfully someone took me to watch a game at Springy and I’ve been blue and white ever since. The other side of the Utd coin though is that those from my generation (the 90s) support them because of the success which means of course that their kids probably will. Kids these days are supporting teams like Chelsea and Arsenal and I’m sure City will follow. We need to get these kids to somehow choose Latics. Other than win a trophy, I’m not sure how we do it.
Being a gloryhunter really gets on my nerves when you speak to people from places like Bristol and Cornwall who support Liverpool or Man Utd. Now THAT is glory hunting.

Not sure if there is a point, other than GL pointing out that he was one of the aforementioned exiled scousers.
Unless I’m seriously missing something. :/
