Hey all,
Finally going to see Wigan play and have plane booked and all. However the real kick in the balls came when I seen the Everton game is restricted to people with previous booking history. As I’m from Ireland and this is will be my first game, I don’t have any booking history. So if anyone could help me out with this I would greatly appreciate it. I’m looking for 2 Tickets for around the middle of the stadium near the front if can. Just looking for 2 seats beside each other which someone thinks has a good view and near pitch.If anyone can help me with this I would greatly appreciate it!! Drop me a pm about it.

The reason for the generous 4/10 was tha there is some doubt as it is unlikely those blue noses would have sole out their allocation at this early point. Still, never let facts/potential facts get in then way, eh?
Am sure if the poster was to speak to the ticket office and explain they would provide tickets.
If they were a chip on the shoulder Everton fan they wouldnt waste their cash to come to Wigan.

Griff…..Did you actually read the link? All I was trying to say was that I thought he was genuine as he has asked for assistance in the past (for tickets for Stoke) and was helped by Sephton01.

No, you miss my point, Micky.
I was saying that despite what I posted in my original response, I realised that there was a good chance that the poster was genuine but that I wasn’t going to let the facts get in the way of MY response. So I as actually putting myself down, not you. Don’r be so precious.

What an absolutely ridicuous state of affairs. A club that is desperate for new fans and we still turn them away !! I sometimes think that this club is being run in a similar way to how Barbara ( RIP ) used to run Pemps. Even if the club was only half full – if I don’t know your face , you’re not coming in.
Instead of hiding behind the rules and regs , Health and Safety sh*te that blights this country , why don’t we look at solutions to get around these problems. We’ve recently had the embarrassing press of turning away Roy Keane and yet we still carry on regardless.
It can’t be beyond the wit of man in this day and age to find out if Rich and others are genuine or not. Get it sorted !!
Its not the club’s fault though is it?
After the bother at the first couple of seasons the lovely GMP have obviously said that unless the club addresses the issues they wil refuse to police the games. If the police refuse to provide cover in the stadiums the council would have to revoke Latics safety licence. As someone else has pointed out I’m sure Latics would love to get any tom, dick or harry in regardless of who they support in order to bring in the extra cash.
That said, Latics could have handled the Roy Keane incident much, much better
If this guy has rung the ticket office and explained his circumstances this far in advance of the game, they would have sorted something for him.
If he has tried this route and got no joy, I suggest you go to the Wigan Athletic Supporters Club website, http://www.wastc.co.uk and get them (as the voice of the Wigan Athletic fans) to take up his case.
I suspect not much effort has been made though.
