I undertand that the club only enforces the “database” rule for games where the away allocation is/is likely to be sold out. I’d be amazed if Everton have already sold their allocation but if they have, then the club is rrght to try to keep additional supporters out of the home stands, as it seems physically impossible for Wigan fans to tolerate them sitting in there.

Right didn’t expect so much replies and with so much dribble. It was a simple request. I am a genuine Irish supporter of Wigan Athletic. I am flying Knock airport in Ireland to Liverpool and can prove that for any people who don’t think I’m genuine.
I have rang the ticket office for those judgers who are good with a keyboard. My response? Sorry Sir we could only try and do something for you closer the time as ticket holders get first preference with seats etc…
Now as I was unfortunately let down by the Stoke tickets last season, not from the guy on here, from the poor allocation of tickets, I do not want to be left in the lurch and want to get tickets ASAP rather than keep going by chance. So all I’m asking is for someone to purchase me two good seated tickets near the pitch and I’ll pay for them via paypal and pay postage costs and that.
I am not an Eveton supporter, if I was i’d be getting it in the Everton side of the stand. With this response it would nearly make me do that anyway. I thought Wigan had a community feel about the club but if yere going to be that bloomin rude about it all I don’t want to be amongst that. Think ye’d be happy that Wigan have supporters outside the UK willing to come see them and give gate receipts. I hope to bring more people over for another game again sometime. Thanks to those offering help though. I appreciate greatly!
11 January 2012 at 4:40 pm #77874Im sure you are a genuine fan, but in the past we have had fans asking for tickets on the forum who turned out to be opposition fans and unfortunately opposition fans in our end arn’t treated very nice by Wigan fans!

Well if thats the case, those traitors in the wigan stand will get whats coming to them so what’s the problem?
11 January 2012 at 6:23 pm #77878Perhaps because it isn’t pleasant for anyone else around at the time – families with kids etc – and maybe it’s better to be safe than sorry and avoid it happening at all

To be honest we would rather not have that attitude..
If you are serious about attending the Wigan game, go to a ticket re selling service, lots of them on the web.
Good luck anyway.
11 January 2012 at 11:13 pm #77889I remember an 8 yr old lad jumping out of his seat when Liverpool scored, he was sat with his Dad who remained seated and quiet, they were swiftly grassed on and ejected !! Now sometimes I think discretion should be used ! Maybe we should look at giving the away supporters the East stand back that way the club would surly make more money !

I will try and explain this to you without the use of diagrams ! We use the North Stand and the away get the East, just like it used to be ! Should there be any overspill from North then there will be plenty of room in the West !
12 January 2012 at 12:02 am #77898so instead of 4500 away supporters we,d have 7000……Great idea…not!

Not quite the same though as there wasn’t 7000-8000 away fans very often in the championship.

If you are referring to being out sung, from where I sit it sounds like we get out sung by most sets of away fans ! The singers should be behind a goal anyway thats the way it should be. It would also feel more like a collective than a few lads shoved up in the top corner of the biggest stand in the ground ! Being into music, I know a fair bit about acoustics and the current set up is not the best idea for generating a good vocal sound !
