FFS, the rivers not half rising. If I get the stick and pin out this week it will have to be in combination with a very big balsa, placing the bulk shot 4/5AAA’s well down and a no. 4 tell tale 12ins. above a 16’s animal eyed hook.
if warriors chairman gets his hands on us its purely for one thing only
ownership of the stadium
then we will be well fooked, and hey presto its a rugby stadium owned not by us but by the scum
think whelan had this in his mind for a while, hope im wrong on this
Go on then, I’ll bite.
So, Dave Whelan, successful businessman, ex footballer, worth a couple of hundred million decides to buy his hometown football club, invest millions over 16 years, so that he can eventually sell the stadium he built for them meaning that they then become tennants of the rugby club he sold several years earlier.

You couldn’t make it up. Oh, actually you did![/quote]

I believe that Pollard as shares in Oxford United unless he gets rid of those then nowt can happen mind you he also has shares in harlequins rl apparently but owns the peanut clodders
It’s Lenagans son who owns Oxford (or is the major shareholder)
no worries boys. it will never happen. If it does (somehow) i think it will have an impact on the eggmen. They seem to think that it’s the end of the world already……I think it could be the eggs who come out of this with (ahem) egg on their face. This leningrad clearLY wants to be involved in union and football. Their is no money in rugger league at all…………I’d be worried if i was an egg fan at the min to be honest.
For e.g. If you have a 4 car garage (us,them, oxford,h’quins) WAFC obviously being the veyron in his collection and quins the corsa. What would you want to drive everyday??????????and which would you want to clod out to the knackers yard???????
think about it………worrying times ahead for rugger league
Hasnt Whelan always said he’d just hand over the club over for nothing to any perspective new owner as long as it was in the best long-term interests of Latics?
Nobody would need to buy the club – like anyone would want to buy a tin-pot small northern football club anyway………but less of the Everton talk ;)
Lenegan has just pocketed £19 million from the sale of one of his businesses. That should be more than enough to buy Wigan Athletic.
Even if we go down this season the tv rights and parachute payments amount to around 80 million so talk sense and stick to watching your mickey mouse sport and keep having orgasms coz some meathead wellies the ball into touch from 2 yards.
