      Already relegated to bench warmer.
I know he left on a bad note but we don’t half miss his pace.

We certainly do miss him but at £7.5 we couldn’t say no. We knew most of January that there was a good chance of him leaving so why oh why could we not have found a replacement for him who was fit and ready to start playing immediately after he had left?

Have you any suggestions who might have fitted the bill and agreed to join an unfashionable Championship club rooted to the foot of the table all season?

Nathan Byrne could have possibly been a better option than nothing Sam but that’s why Sharpie re-vamped the scouting system to find suitable players for the club. Surely we could have found one fit left winger/ left sided midfield player of some description.

Nathan Byrne was already at the club so does not qualify as a player that, as you are suggesting, needed to be found.
The club must have thought he was not ready to challenge for a first team place so is now out on loan. So what makes you think he could have performed the Wildschut role when the coaching staff obviously didn’t.

Well the club are getting good at that Sam, Morsy comes to mind. What I am trying to say is would it not be better having a left sided midfielder/ left winger starting than none at all. OK he may not be as good as Yanik, but who knows he could have been if we had given him a chance and his chance could have been there with Yanik leaving.Surely we should favour our own players rather than loanshite from other clubs.

On the subject of coaching staff and their ideas well they have done an excellent job of steering us towards league one. Caldwell the main instigator leaving Joyce to use band aids when there was major surgery needed.

                    He wont care.

He’s gone from being a bench warmer at a bottom 3 side to a bench warmer at a top 6 side. He can also spend his time on the bench at Norwich thinking about what to do with the big signing-on fee and pay rise he received.

He will care. And I’m sure he’ll care massively.

He left Middlesbrough – who were on their way to getting promoted to the Premier League – because he wasn’t getting a game, and dropped down a division to join us.

I have no malice for Yanik at all now. His contribution got us promoted last season. His contribution this season has kept us from being on level terms with Rotherham. The money we got for him will contribute nicely to keeping us financially stable and keeping ticket prices down. I was angry at the way he asked for a transfer but now I wish him all the best and only wish we could have replaced him and that’s not in his hands.
