You look at the Preston squad, and no disrespect to them, but it’s a very ordinary looking squad. But what I’ve noticed is, and here is the Key, they have kept a fairly settled line up throughout the season, something we haven’t managed to do. I look at their players, upfront they have Jordan Hugill, who is a Carthorse. It’s testament to Simon Grayson’s management that he has got that squad over achieving.

The problem with a high pressing game, and yes, I like this way of playing as well, is that you have to be solid in defence, because it can be susceptible to a clever team playing through balls and splitting you Open, catching your line too high up the field.
