Whats going on with Will? Is he just being rested?
25 March 2018 at 3:13 am #167717Yes. Surface today and at last couple of games haven’t been the best, so we’ve had to play more direct. So he has gone with Vaughan who probably suits the style better.
And the team has won last 3 aways, so do you change a winning side?
25 March 2018 at 4:30 am #167719Again it shows the strength of this squad when we can rest players of Wills calibre. We are strong in every department and at the end of the day it will probably be the reason we get promotion.
25 March 2018 at 1:00 pm #167722The irony is that we were desperate not to lose him for the international break … then chose to give him total rest. A good bit of management, that, so long as Will stays happy.
25 March 2018 at 1:33 pm #167724I think like VAT, its more for tactical reasons, I don’t see why he would be “rested”, its not like he’s a box to box player who comes off the pitch completely knackered, good use of the squad and having the players we need for certain types of game plan.
25 March 2018 at 1:37 pm #167726He may be happy but its put the flames out. Just burning holes in the bench. Hopefully he gets his rightfull place back soon. Could be a struggle on Friday being an home fixture but confident for Monday though.
25 March 2018 at 3:01 pm #167727Vaughan put a great shift in and I think it was the correct choice for this game; he was constantly being fouled by the Bury defence, but the ref just let all their niggling go.
25 March 2018 at 4:06 pm #167728Got to admit though Ally he is consistently keeping up with his goal scoring prowess he started at Sunderland.
Imagine the stick Will would get or remember what Will got from some of our fans for just putting a shift in.25 March 2018 at 11:04 pm #167730Got to admit though Ally he is consistently keeping up with his goal scoring prowess he started at Sunderland.
Imagine the stick Will would get or remember what Will got from some of our fans for just putting a shift in.If we weren’t scoring any goals then there probably would be some stick. Midfield and defence bailing him out in some ways.

Imagine the stick Will would get or remember what Will got from some of our fans for just putting a shift in.To be fair, I think Frankie (Vaughan)offered the Bury defence as much aggression as he received; a situation in which I think Will would have been innocuous. Don’t forget, Frankie had a goal chalked off for being a bugs dick offside (if he was, that is !). An 8 out of 10 performance for me; coupled with good performances from Power and Burn !
