Terrible news. Hopefully fit for Saturday. However with the service he has had recently and the general way we have played going forward we may as well just shore up the defence for an expected onslaught from Albion.
14 October 2018 at 1:01 am #172447That is not good news. Hope Vaughan is fit?
14 October 2018 at 4:29 am #172448It doesn’t make a sod er difference if he plays or not with the service he gets at Wigan he’s a better chance trying a Brothel

14 October 2018 at 7:10 pm #172452I would get this Joe Gelhardt on bench. Scoring goal after goal for England and just signed a 3 year contract. Built like Rooney apparently. No point having internationals in academy if they don’t get chance to play.

Many say he is out of his depth. Maybe, but others around him are further out of their depth and in the case of Windass well out of position too.

16 October 2018 at 9:44 pm #172468You mentioned the 4-4-2 not me Standish. But yip old fashioned shite I know but with the service our lonely striker gets there’s very little chance of us attempting to service two strikers.
We don’t have a Teale or McCulloch and definitely no Ellington and Roberts. So we’ll just have to hope we can do what we do in League One.16 October 2018 at 11:25 pm #172474Many clubs now playing twin strikers tho not necessarily in a rigid 4-4-2 system. Arsenal are even playing 2 frontmen. It isn’t doing Bournemouth much harm either. Maybe teams are working out how to play the lone striker to better effect who knows. Its simply down to the individual manager to employ his prefered formation.
