Not seen us do that since we got in the premier league.

If thats what it takes for us to get three points and push on then so be it.

I would describe our play as “Winning like a bull dog chewing a wasp”! :pinch: :pinch:

I wouldn’t say that there was a plan for attack. They more or less kicked the ball forward for someone to chase.

If there was a defensive plan, then it relied upon Carson.

I’m not complaining – Coyle has clearly got limited choices. But we won’t get very far playing like this.

A must win game that one today. Defiinitely wasnt the best of games but a win is a win. We do need another striker though & today proved that IMO as powell for his worth isnt a striker.

Let’s take some positives from today, Bobby esque style,

If we took three points with a less than convincing performance, what will be capable of when we play good !!!

Felt good to me, walking off the ground with three points in the bag. My beer even tasted better tonight,

Thought Shotton had a really good home debut.

Sunday wasn’t the problem. We played badly and won.

The worry is that we will play like that in the future and not win.

And with the players available, we may well play like that again.

grim stuff yesterday but lets take the positives from this game and the season so far.
we are averaging about 1.5 points a game so on current ratio we will hit around 69 points which was enough to reach the play offs last season.
Unbeaten at home-when could we last say that by late September?
Clean sheet
Superb defensive performance -shotton and Barnett the shining lights
Carson-must have saved a few points already

the game wasnt pretty but I too celebrated with a nice pint of lager that also tasted sweet knowing we had ground out a win and will have to do this many times over to have a chance .
