What do we think of this winter break plan in February? They want to split the league games over 2 weekends so each side gets 13 days between games.
Apparently it will help England as all the other leagues get a break. They also all play 38 games so how the hell will it help?? Same number of games, shorter period of time. Most players/managers moan at playing Saturday, Wednesday, Saturday already.
Absolute load of rubbish – it’s all about money.
Didn’t the top club say that setting up the premier league was all about helping the England team & not about creaming off the majority of money coming into the game??
Having 13 days off in the middle of Feb will do absolutely nowt to help the England team.I bet a pound to a massive pile of poop that the majority of clubs will take their players abroad & play in a couple of warm weather friendlies & make a wedge of cash on the side
It’s all about the premier league promoting itself around the world. But dressing it up as something else..
The EFL have already said we won’t be having one which suits me fine. You never know we might get a few extra fans watching lower league games when this window does come in.
