A Wigan sell-out Sunday next would be most appropriate and an apt way to thank all – Manager and players alike – for the way they’ve finished the season.
A good team performance might also help remind the arm-chair fans what they’ve been missing and entice one or two more to come down the DW next season.
We will really need to go some next season to better what we’ve done in the last 2 months or so.
Highlight – first 45 vs. Newcastle. UNBELIEVABLE
Most disciplined performance (2off)
(1)
Utd. Restricted to one attempt on goal all game. Outplayed Utd. All options used by Ferguson (bar Scholes, Vidic). No mean feat.
(2)
The H2 Arsenal onslaught that never materialised. Feared the worst at half-time. Remarkable composure and courage in second half to see the game out (Moses – best chance – should have put the game to bed).
To round off a cracking season that has seen many FIRST TIME EVERS, the icing on the cake – yet to come – will have to be CITY pipping UNITED to the title on goal difference, UNITED winning sweet FA and Bolton beating Stoke to send QPR and miserable Mark Hughes (forget Moses, £7m?) down.
Does not get any better !
