If this argybargy carries on at this rate I can see us a a lot of the others pulling out and playing it in Germany this situation is going to go ballistic quick time if it doesn’t calm down soon, Putin is a knob who needs a bloody nose and this is the best way to do it by taking it off them .
30 March 2018 at 10:45 pm #167846I know politics & sport shouldn’t mix, but the withdrawal of top countries from the World Cup would be the one thing that would really hurt Russia, and its the one thing that they cant tit-for-tat retaliate on because nobody would give a shit if they boycotted the next world cup, and they have already been booted out of the Olympics.
I hope that if England withdraw, other countries follow suit quickly.
30 March 2018 at 10:59 pm #167847Not being funny lads but it should be down to FIFA to grow a pair and reorganize it somewhere else. We certainly have the means and stadia to make it successful as do Spain,Germany France etc. Taking it off Russia wouldn’t be a problem for the tournament and would be the ultimate sanction to Putin.

Yep probably would jimmy but most of that regime are no longer there and if they keep it in Russia after the French were racially abused then surely we are on our way back to the dark days where racial chants from the terraces were brushed under the carpet.

As well as the political side of things, it would wreck the Russian hooligans plans. Do you know they’ve had a meeting with Argentinian and Serbian hooligans, and the 3 are forming a coalition to fight against England, Poland and Croatia supporters? Yes, it’s definitely happened, as I have a Serbian contact and he has told me. The world cup, as it stands, could be more about hooliganism, than football. However, change the host nation to here, and it would be all about the football, because we just wouldn’t let a lot of the hooligans enter.
31 March 2018 at 3:49 pm #167863i have said all along the world cup should have been moved after the way the russian hooligans behaved in the euros
my fear is someone is going to get killed over there but by then it will be too late and fifa should be held responsible for not having the balls to act and move it else where2 April 2018 at 1:18 pm #167896i have said all along the world cup should have been moved after the way the russian hooligans behaved in the euros

That England fan from Marseille only just survived and he is paralysed. It’ll be a nightmare and I honestly feel it could be a world Cup this that gets abandoned half way through. A couple of pals are going over. I think theyre nuts. Both are Everton fans and one was stabbed in his arm at the Merseyside Derby last year and the other got battered by another Everton fan in the pub after the game on Saturday. Might not be so lucky over there.
