Less than a week after getting battered at home by Castleford Tigers, the lodgers thrashed Castleford tonight 46-6.
Police are looking into reports of illegal betting with online bookmakers from many areas of the far east, a senior Wigan police spokesman tonight said, “we have had a reports from numerous companies about suspicious bets placed on tonight’s game”, he went on to add “I don’t know why we have been asked to help in this investigation, it must be because our officers on duty this evening have had nothing to do because of the low crowd at the DW, I would have thought it was more of concern to Spain and Holland’s police forces after that result tonight”.
