Kirkland is only the captain because Martinez is struggling as hard as we are in deciding who else it could possibly be. He’s only gotten it because of length of service, but he’s long past it.
oh now come on!! how can you blame martinez for 3 howlers by the goalie? The guy has probably been buzzing in training and has done enough to get the nod over Habsi.
It’s players who lose football matches, not managers. That Wigan team that walked out today, should have been good enough to beat Blackpool.

Certainly after today’s performance if we’re going to give it to players based on their effort or desire to look like they want to play for us then give it to Stam!
