“I hope we’ve not seen the last of Yanic,” Caldwell told the Wigan Evening Post.
“As things stand, he’s gone back to Middlesbrough, but we’ve put in an offer and we’ll see what comes of that.
“It’s out of my hands now – it’s over to the chairman and to Jonathan. I’m sure they’re doing everything they can to try and keep him at the club.
“He’s a special talent that we’ve allowed to flourish and enjoy his football. He’s enjoyed being here. He wants to stay, he’s signalled that.
“He doesn’t want to go anywhere else. He wants to stay at Wigan. Now it’s in the hands of the money men to get it sorted out.”
Would be good if we can get him back, he may not be good at tracking back, but can certainly win us games …

5 January 2016 at 2:51 pm #146498I bet the offer doesn’t get looked at by Bro.
6 January 2016 at 7:26 pm #146500I bet the offer doesn’t get looked at by Bro.Apperently Boro has acepted the bid. It’s up to Yanic now.
6 January 2016 at 7:47 pm #1465016 January 2016 at 7:58 pm #146503There’ll be a lot of ‘ifs, buts & maybes’ tied into the £1million transfer fee and personal terms I would imagine (hope) for the good of the players future performances.
Certainly not worth the price tag being banded out at present but definitely a player I’m happy to see at the club. Just need a Kevin Nolan now (where is he btw?)
and I think we have the right balance.6 January 2016 at 8:18 pm #146504Been told he has signed. Don’t know if it’s true.
6 January 2016 at 8:53 pm #146505If he has signed that is very positive news and we’ll worth applauding the efforts of the club. We all know and have seen the weaker side of his game but hopefully that blistering pace coupled with a settled player can totally out weigh those weaker areas which in turn can also be worked on.
Fingers crossed and we’ll done Latics. (I hope)6 January 2016 at 10:19 pm #146506Credit to the club if he has signed. No arsing around like past transfer dealings.Granted he has his faults but do we have a better player in the squad at present ?? Not in my view.
6 January 2016 at 11:03 pm #146507Maybe Holt is being off loaded to Blackburn; thus freeing up cash & wages for us to sign Janic. Whatever the case, hope this happens in time for tomorrow neet !

From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!7 January 2016 at 7:01 pm #146510It’s true …… it’s why he was never able to complete a full game.
7 January 2016 at 7:23 pm #146511Heard he has failed a medical.
Can’t kin believe it.Because medical reports are always told to someone’s mate’s mate before anyone else
