Surprised no one has mentioned this before now
The attendance for yesterdays game was officially given as 17,225 – when I looked around I thought about 12 – 14
Some massaging of figures going on here I think

29 August 2011 at 12:23 am #70665Thought 17 was about right. Seemed to be more people in South and West. Also, seemed like a lot more fans were in the East towards the south stand
29 August 2011 at 12:30 am #70667We arrived at the last min as per usual and we had to queue ! Every entrance along the East Stand had a queue of at least 20 people ! I asked a steward what was going on and he replied ” A football match ” !! Ask a silly question !! :?
29 August 2011 at 12:31 am #70668Noticed this the past few times we have had an early kick off. People can manage 3 oclock but half 12 everyone seems to leave it till the last minute.

30 August 2011 at 1:00 pm #70777Definitely many more at the DW. Some of the normally vacant areas at th eedges of the south and west stand had people in. We always wait until after the players are heading down the tunnel and it took longer to queue to get through the exit. finally, the bridges were more crowded.
What was also unusual was that people were smiling, even the missus tolerable!
