Why did you feel the necessity to tell me. That just says you REALLY did read it all but that is your way of saying you don’t agree with that point. If you got so far down the post, Just out of pure intrigue you would have had to carry on.
But the point i make is true and you cant face up to it.
6 January 2013 at 6:09 pm #99299I thought Roberto’s comments yesterday were bob on as per usual.I thought Golobart and Routledge did really well!
Fyvie was fairly quiet along with Gomez who was completely absent for periods.
Jones was uninspired….
Mcmanaman struggled to break down a team at a much lower level.
Stam was absolutely terrible and for the last 15 minutes showed a serious lack of respect for the club trotting about while Henqiquez had to run back to defend against the left winger on the edge of the box.
If I was his manager id of leathered him as soon as he got down the tunnel for that.
IMO its some of the senior players who didn’t turn up yesterday and putting my own and others opinions aside it seems to be the usual suspects in Stam, Gomez and Boselli.
Although I still maintain Boselli had no service whatsoever and think its naive to say he should create something for himself when that’s not his job his job is to hang on the shoulder of a defender and take chances as they come in for him.
+ his movement was typically good yesterday if you kept an eye on him while Ronald Mcdonald was doing his clown act on the right side.
Whilst refraining from getting involved in this cock fight I would just like to add that it was Danny Redmond that played yesterday and not John Routledge. And very well he did too for 45 mins.
Just saying like…..
6 January 2013 at 6:09 pm #99300Right first of all, lets not get cocky, You dont know me so offering me out wouldn’t be a wise decision. Its a dangerous tactic that.Golobart and Routledge, give me a break. They are and will be rubbish. I see you have stuck the old ‘Gomez’ comment in there whilst the only good outfield player was Boyce. You know, The oldest one in the starting 11 who doesn’t need a rest like all the others but every game makes Henchoz look like Usain Bolt.
You dont have a reasoned view. I have said it a million times, When its good i will say so and when it is crap i will also say so. No one ever picks up on the good points just the bad. If the club was run like a club and the manager had a clue then there would be more good posts. It begs the question, Whilst all you happy clappers are happy to get robbed for your entrance fee every game and keep on telling everyone that Martinez has done such a great job, What would you consider a failure to be? Don’t start avoiding the question with finances and all that because im not arsed.
Do you REALLY think this is the strongest side we have had or the weakest? I know my answer.
Do you REALLY think we have made progress in 4 years? Because i dont.
I promised myself that i wouldn’t post but the only reason i did is because ABL posted last night and as soon as you all read something negative you all jumped down his throat. It really pisses me off that, There is 6 of you that are incapable of a debate and just attack instead. If you cant muster up a debate then just don’t bother replying. You try to bully people, Won’t happen with me that, Unfortunately i wont take it. I fight fire with fire.
And yes i will ‘discuss it in person’ if that’s what you would like.
But that all depends on a good away draw in the cup.
Bit sad you seem to have such a low opinion of me I never realised it and never had much of a problem with you.
Im not getting cocky or offering you out! But if you really don’t like me that much and want to have a pop at me in that manner surely you would like the opportunity to do it person rather than on here?
Just to add fire to flames though I have seen your wide boy rants before and they don’t faze me in the slightest lad  .
Back to football….
You seem to be on your own with the Golobart opinion that’s against Roberto Martinez, myself, a few people on here, a pan full of people complimenting him on twitter and all the Inverness fans who if I remember correctly voted him player of the season.
Routledge I thought did well and that’s being compared to a very poor form Jeany B of late and at least had some effect on the game in the first 30 minutes.
What exactly is the old Gomez comment ?
I was being critical of Gomez and I never mentioned Boyce but slowest player in the team you must be having a laugh!
I thought he was losing a bit of pace at the start of the season which at 33 I wont be hanging him out to dry for but I am not so sure anymore as he is looking back to his best for us.
You have lost me with the rest unfortunately Yosser and I think its a bit of an embarrassing melt down on your part needlessly aimed at myself.
I like ABL he can talk on a football level even if I disagree with most of what he says but you seem tactically unaware as Roberto would say and only come on here to p*ss and moan.
Sadden.

No, I honestly did stop reading at that point and the reason I did is because I cannot take anyone seriously who still Whelan pockets Sky TV’s money.
Yes you may have some valid arguments on other issues, but there have been countless articles written by financial journalists, and even the club’s published accounts posted on this forum over the past four years which clearly show (even though it’s blatantly obvious to anyone who can add and subtract a few numbers together) that the club has been making a loss year on year since reaching the Premier League.
The last financial year was the first time the club have posted a profit.
I’m sorry Yosser, but you’ve just ruined any validity to your argument with one misguided and completely inaccurate belief.
6 January 2013 at 6:16 pm #99305Good posts yosser, you flushed the Martinez mafia out good & proper, well done
6 January 2013 at 6:19 pm #99306Ramis was by our terms a big signing, Okay his pace is scary when he is ran at but his vision, strength and leadership (although he doesnt speak English)I bet his English is better than your Spanish lad.
Ivan Ramis @ramis496

3 points very important. Now, we are thinking about Man. Utd.
Details6 January 2013 at 6:20 pm #99307Good posts yosser, you flushed the Martinez mafia out good & proper, well doneI’m sure he’s delighted that someone of your calibre is lending their support.
6 January 2013 at 6:26 pm #99308Whats with all this lad bollocks.
And you WAS trying to offer me out without saying it. I dont care about that though im more scared of my g/f than any chap.
I will leave that bit alone, as you say, Back to football….
I wansnt saying Boycies pace was in question, My fault maybe for not being clear enough. I was remarking that Martinez was saying they are all nackered and need a rest yet he plays Boyce who is always flogged after an hour. His reasons for playing a weakened side are flawed. No meltdown here, Just dont have blue tinted glasses on.
Standish, That is your opinion, You are entitled to it, I read the same stuff and my opinion is different. Blue tinted glasses again. Whelan is a liar.
Willie i didnt post for any sort of clique building exercise, Just what i think.
I shall bid you all a fond farewell again, Tatty bye

So you are telepathic now? give it a rest lad.
I am going to make a point in the near future of asking some of the more reasoned posters on this site if they would like a post match pint so they can confirm I am not some nut job who is after offering everyone out.
I dont know if it is the Salford part of my user name or the fact I dont beat around the bush with alot of people and am more than happy to fire an opinion in person but I have no interest in fighting anyone over football ESPECIALLY ANY WIGAN ATHLETIC FANS!!!!!
Im out of the conversation now as I am sure there are fingers hovering over the lock thread button and in all fairness I cant blame them the petty squabbling is tiresome to say the least.
6 January 2013 at 7:26 pm #99315Standish, That is your opinion, You are entitled to it, I read the same stuff and my opinion is different. Blue tinted glasses again. Whelan is a liar.So you read them, and see where it explains in terms a monkey could understand, but still you think that the figures have all been concocted by Whelan and he has managed to pull the wool over the eyes of the club’s accountants, HMRC, KPMG, writers from the Guardian, The Times, The Independent, and the football world’s best financial brains, but not you eh?

6 January 2013 at 8:40 pm #99331Back to the football. The commentator on yesterdays game said that Wigan’s build play up was very slow and pedestrian and that it consistently ended in nothing ! He mentioned the plethora of sideways and backwards passes. It is these very tactics that get people irked and as soon as RM realises that they are fruitless tactics then we can maybe move forward ( Literally ! ) Some consider me a negative fucker but they need to look at the tactician now and again. The grumbling and moaning from all around us within earshot on matchdays backs up my frustrations !

6 January 2013 at 8:44 pm #99333Bear with me on this, it’s not an anti Martinez rant nor a passionate defence as we read on this site. His quote after the game basically says he is not interested in winning games in the short term, we have invested a lot in the youth development facilities so they need to play them in the cups.So this effectively says the cups will be used for player development not to try and win them?
Should this be the policy of any premier league team, surely football is all about competing to win?
Now if this policy was to develop players for the long term goal of having a self built team in the future ready to challenge to win honours then great, however the clubs always stated we have a policy of developing players for them to move onto the next stage.
Is that what we want our club to be, almost a development facility rather than a competitive football team or do we have no choice in the money world today?
Is this the only way for us to survive in the premier league, is this what we want from football?
he also said it takes a long time for 9 ‘new’ players to gel (so why not make max 6 changes and go to 8/9 during the game (won) …)
etc. etc.
