6 of the U18’s featured in the Development Squads 6-0 hammering of Mansfield today.
Adam Long, Divin Baningime and Joe Gelhardt started whilst Mitchell Culshaw, Charlie Jolley and Will McGuffie featured as second-half substitutes.
Crankshaw, Geldhart and Jolley also scored.
Joe Piggott was the other scorer with a hat trick.Incidently, Mansfields squad had 1500 league appearances between them.
If these kids continue to develop, we should have some exciting times a head.
They will be ready for the first team when they’re old enough. Just give them another 18 years or so.

Exactly, whether that was a tongue in cheek remark Im not sure but it’s a true reflection of our youth policy at this moment in time and has been for some time.Once our fate is sealed one way or another I think he will give them some game time.I beg to differ on that. I can see Cook trawling through the contractless players list and free merchant list searching for players who have played and got out of League One before.
He’ll be perfectly at home in League One, his level so hew can shine once again. In a way he might even be happy to play there so he can prove his worth once more.
