Saw him a few times last season playing in the Championship for QPR and he looked a good player. Can’t believe Warnock didn’t sign him permanently though??
Surely you have got to be asking why a player deemed not good enough by a lower half side can suddenly be the answer to your prayers.
Routledge has repeatedly failed to impress the managers of Spurs, Portsmouth, Villa, Fulham & Newcastle since he signed for Spurs in 2005. He clearly hasnt impressed Warnock enough, nor did he impress Dave Jones at Cardiff when he was shipped out to them on loan.
IMHO, a good CCC player, but a waste of money for a Premier League club.
He had better be good. It has disappointed me a bit this one. Looks as though we aint going for a straight replacement but a cheap option who could go for a few mill or do a job in the championship. Wright-Phillips, Routledge, Dos Santos.
No McLean, I mean they are even rivalling Peterborough for his signature, Christ almighty.
yosser we have seen this time and time again
whelan makes me sick
maybe he thinks this young lad will make him another quick buck
mark my words this season we will be far weaker not stronger
but the whelanite`s will still be hearded like sheep into whelan`s pen
turning out to be just another bill kenyon is our dave.

I doubt very much that Martinez sees this lad as an immediate replacement for N’Zogbia
That’s even if Latics are “seriously” interested in him. The Derry City chairman could after all just be using as enquiry as a way of getting Peterborough to up their contract offer to him & get Derry City their money
However, if Bobby is interested in him then I would imagine that he would be signed very much as someone that the club thinks has the potential to grow into a premier league player & use him sparingly over 1 or even 2 years. Its not a policy that I agree with or think is wise but he does have previous for it & to varying degrees of success
To compare Dave Whelan to Bill Kenyon is so far wide of the mark that its laughable
