Anybody booked this trip? It’s not the cheapest option but with it being our first ever European venture I wanna do it in style.

There’s 6 of us booked on so should be a good laugh. I just need to keep out the on-board casino when I’m well and truly internally lubricated, or it could be an extremely expensive way of doing it. :woohoo:
From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!5 September 2013 at 12:44 am #120598Nah, looked into it but its meant to be a horrible trip on a horrible boat cabins shocking unless club class or something, food appalling and expensive take your own Looked at plane, too dear. Never fancied a 2 day bender on a coach straight there straight back.
I came to the conclusion, best to drive, euro tunnel, in to Bruges, 6 hoursish 2 nights to get over it and back again satdy. Working out about 185 all in for 3 of us inc brek at hotel. Good hotel too with pool and parking smack bang in centre.5 September 2013 at 12:50 am #120599Try phoning Del Boy he MIT have the number for that man with the boat in hull
5 September 2013 at 12:58 am #120601Just remember, if stop off at sea to ask for directions, don’t ask “which way to Holland?”

I did the Hull to Rotterdam trip earlier in the year and I must admit, I didn’t get too much sleep. Beds were comfy but summat was rattling like billio and I couldn’t find it and the weird sway of the boat on the water didn’t help….BUT the food was absolutely amazing and incredible value, really top restaurant quality. The casino was good for a laugh too.
We’re going Weds morning by car, Dover to Calais, returning Friday afternoon. £84 return plus a ton for fuel, I’d guess. Not booked hotel yet but looks like there’s loads available. Lots to see in the city too. I’ll be enjoying lots of moules et frites while I’m there too :)
5 September 2013 at 1:58 am #120603Different, bigger ferries to Rotterdam mate
Why would you not go through tunnel pal, only half hour and its about a one’er return
5 September 2013 at 2:40 am #120610Never thought about it. Just checked it, £120 return. Might do it this time. Slight advantage with the ferry trip though is that it’s two hours overall and that usually gives me a decent break after driving best part of 300 miles with no stops.
5 September 2013 at 4:04 pm #120650Anyone know when the tickets will arrive/go on sale
5 September 2013 at 9:03 pm #120661I booked on the club coach on Sunday, and the woman taking the booking said I would receive the paperwork in a couple of days.
Nothing yet – anyone else received owt?
5 September 2013 at 9:13 pm #120662Is that price between you or each?

6 September 2013 at 12:17 pm #120678Why would you not go through tunnel pal, only half hour and its about a one’er returnI got 1 car with 5 passengers return through tunnel for 59 quid total (directferries.com), although we are coming straight back after game so return time is Friday 01:22 which might have helped the price
6 September 2013 at 2:08 pm #120681I have booked virtually the same trip for £123 and £101 for kids.
6 September 2013 at 9:57 pm #120702Jealous of all of you. :(
Just been pricing up all the various alternatives but having been to Wembley twice, Cyprus and Kefalonia this year we can’t justify another outlay.
Yeovil it is for us then !!!!! ;)
I hope you all have a great time. :)
6 September 2013 at 10:22 pm #120703We’ve all got a budget mate, don’t skint yourselves, we can afford what we can afford .
