We only took a few more than that 2 miles down the road in Horwich this season, on the back of a victory over Liverpool and at £20 a ticket.
Not a patch on Ray Mathais as a manager imo!.Far more entertaining and quality football played when he was here,abit a lower divisionYour comparing us in the Premier League, to us in the second division. It was far easier to compete in that league compared to now, hence the possibility of entertaining football was also greater. Mathias was a great bloke and was rightly held in high regard here but no way could he have maintained that standard in the Prem.
This season they might decide to do the team photoshoot earlier than the last few seasons & even open to supporters.why??? especially considering pre season wont even begin until after the world cup.
The team photo call is always in the week before the first game so all the summer signings can be included.

This season Mario, Hugo, Titus & D. De Ridder did solo photoshoots..because 2 of which are star players and the others were relevant for the orange kit with the pointless ‘dutch’ theme.
Cant think of any reason why any of the world cup players would be needed. Maybe Stojkovic if its a clown suit.
That’s obvious because the 7 players going to South Africa from Wigan will be needed for some photoshoots. When the club get the new kit delivered i’ll let you know.Why will they need any of those 7 for the photoshoot? Hardly any are even first choice minus Figueroa. They only need an individual as they did with Rodallega last season and Heskey the year before. I can see McCarthy or Moses being chosen this season considering most of our other good players could potentially leave.

Vandanel gave Wigan 1 shirt for every player in the squad and most of them gave there shirt away after the Pompey game. Also, the kits we played in v Crewe & the Austrian teams in pre-season we’re ordinary shirts with a number on the back of them. The official shirts the players wear are slightly different to shirts sold in the club shop. You’ve just been owned. :Dwhat are you on about? It was a sensible question.

There is definitely more of a problem from them, than us. Make no mistake about it, this guy would LOVE us to fail at everything we do….Well Wigan rugby were once the number one team in this town, there’s no denying that. Yet there was no real bitterness from our fans because quite frankly we didn’t (and still don’t) care about their game. Most of us cared about their success as much as Wigan’s badminton/hockey/netball team if they were the nations best team in their sport. They all watch football, everyone does, however they don’t like us despite being from Wigan. And yet they bang on about pride and loyalty when it comes to their game.
They were almost like the playground bully in the town before we almost came from nowhere to recieve just as much attention not only from the local public but from the local media as our egg chasing cousins. Then we continued to flourish and overtake them in every way possible in popularity stakes both locally, nationally and internationally. They were no longer the big boy in the playground. They were not just overtaken, but overtaken by the very same people they used to look down on and make fun of for years.
So you can understand why they would be bitter, cant you.
Just noticed some of the groups them lot have set up on facebook aswell.

And how did you find out about the Nike link? I just dont want to get my hopes up only to see the kit released with DW Sports on it instead. :?
Gohouri has made the initial 30, not guarenteed to make the final cut.
Its too close to call who will finish the strongest out the African teams. Ivory Coast have the hardest group and if they come 2nd to Brazil or Portugal then face Spain in the 2nd round.

If someone genuinely can’t realise football is the number 1 sport in this town they need help. Excluding away fans, we have bigger average crowds. You see 10 times as many football shirts around town. There is more amateur football played than rugby. Compare how crowded the local pubs & bars will be in a month during the World Cup compared to their amatuer tournament. Need i go on?
