What’s Spurs run in like compared to Chelsea’s?

I’m thinking about the FA Cup and European slot’s.

I have never seen us play in red, so it will be a first for me. I’m sure i read somewhere on here that Martinez thinks the red kit is bad luck? Could be wrong.

Glue the players to a chair until they’ve watched as many Wigan games as they can, old and new, and remind some of them what this club is really about.

No Garswood. I think I understand your point though.

Griff, as I have already said, what I say is what I have heard through rumours. So to answer your question, the reason why I said that is because it was rumoured we had 2 bids knocked back before being accepted and both times we only improved offer by 1/2 mill. Thats why I said it.

At no point have I said I did know how the negotations were conducted, in more or less every post I’ve made so far I’ve always said my statements are based on rumour.

I am not struggling with any part Griff. I’m not even struggling to understand why Stones chose Everton, wages could of been a factor but we all knew Everton would pip us to it given a choice. The point I am struggling with is why we are pricking around over transfer fee’s when what is actually being asked for is not a ridiculous amount in the first place. That’s what I struggle with. I know no-one on here is a mind reader before anyone says it, but would Everton have put a bid in if we had just matched the value first time? Or even second time?

Yes Nuneaton we did have the offer accepted, but only after 2 previous bids fail, both of which (rumour based) were 1/2 mill short each time. We all know and accept we cant and do not want to splash the cash everytime, but c’mon, even the most hardcore of Whelan lovers must admit defeat in that respect. Does RM storm into DW’s office demanding he match the valuation and quick as to not miss out to the likes of Everton and co? If not, he should be IMO.

As you said Nuneaton, how do we as fans know how much we actually try? We don’t. Therefore until the club does a U-turn on not naming players (which will never happen) we will have nothing but reports and rumours to go off. So sticking to just the Stones transfer, we could of beat Everton to the punch days before TDD if we had matched the value, instead of coming in short (as rumoured), all dilly dallying seems to do for us is alert other clubs to get their own arses into gear.

I think we are capable of a good run, and me myself I can see it starting at Chelsea, there not ones for turning up at home since Benitez took over and I think they could be there for the taking, I just hope the FA cup game doesnt do us any harm. Looking at previous end of season run ins we’ve come up against big teams quite close to each other, and for me thats when we can and have turned up in style. No better confidence booster for the 6point games than turning up at chelsea or city and getting a result.

haha crackin statement, made me chuckle.

We can only ever be assured of being a safebet if we improve, so how do we improve? I can’t see how unless we bring in another gem of a transfer, and with the darksiders ready on alert, how long will they get before they become another Gomez?

I cant help but feel we don’t though Standish, I dont know why, I just can’t. How long as a club can we last if what you say be true.
