What’s up, some words in there that are a bit too long for you?
Just sound the words out slowly …..26 February 2010 at 11:13 pm in reply to: our thoughts should be with this club in financial turmoil #24388A traditional football club are in serious trouble at the moment. Burdened with debt and on the verge of extinction. I feel our thoughts and best wishes should be with the fans and supporters of Chester City FC.
When we see the money that as been passed through and squandered by Portsmouth FC by signing players and paying wages they couldnt afford and think what just a small fraction of that money would have done to help Chester it makes me realise how mixed up this football thing is these days.
Who gets all the press and sympathy today. Of course Pompey.
Good luck Chester City. Lets hope you can escape folding up on the 10th 0f March.
Pompey… well you have created your own destiny with your own mismanaged greed.I’m just glad there fans go to sleep knowing that the best thing in their live could tomorrow be a sunday league team with odd pairs of socks and a shortage of players.
James, Ben Haim, Belhadj, Boateng and Hreidarsson maybe. They have O’Hara and Dindane on loan who would be good additions to our squad.
Kanu as a old head up top, always pops up with a few goals.
But, my guess is we’ll see none of the above in a DAVE! shirt next season or any after that.
I agree that no Pompey player above will next season play for Wigan.
to be honest i like jamie o hara,i know he’s on loan from spurs but i think he would be one to look at :?:Wigan have held talks with Spurs about O’hara coming to Wigan on loan but O’hara wants to stay and play for Pompey.
I think apart from O’hara i’d take maybe Belhadj and a couple more from Pompey.
It would be good in the Championship getting more wins than losses.
Does anyone else think this Topic is pointless
28-30 quid, just for the sake of tryin to get a few more in would it not be a good idea to keep it to 20 quid, christ, the way we are playing, and liverpool its hardly likely to be free flowing end to end football is it? this price catagory didnt really do that well for the everton game did it?It shows that Wigan fans come to matches depending on the price, not the opposition.
Having gone to the game on Sunday I met up with a few friends inside the ground. I’m a season ticket holder and sit between ES2 and ES3 towards the middle of the stand. Some friends were down from London and being neutral footy fans decided to come along and watch the game. In order to sit with them we sat a few rows from the front between ES2 and ES3 where there were spare seats.Midway through the second half it would appear that the pocket of fans behind us got bored with the game and turned all of their attentions to a Tottenham fan waving a fan in the away end. He appeared to be mixed race. The following is just a selection of comments that I heard bellowed from behind me by a pocket of moron’s;
F**k OFF BACK TO YOUR CORNER SHOP
F**K OFF BACK TO YOUR OWN COUNTRY
F**K OFF TERROISTI could go on but I won’t. Make no mistake, this wasn’t the odd comment muttered under someone’s breath. These comments were shouted over and over and over again by so called grown “men”, so called Latic’s fans shouting as loud as they could – not giving a damn about what was happening on the pitch.
Believe you me i’m no prude but the behaviour displayed by these fan’s was disgusting. I felt embarrassed and ashamed.
How can we expect to improve attendences when you invite people along and they have to listen to endure this. There was a chap infront of me who had brought his family and children to the game. He was disgusted too, turning round on several occassions to tell them so. He told me he wouldn’t be coming to another game again.
I know this is a minority and thankfully we’re not all like this.
I hope the moron’s responsible read this and feel a twinge of shame. Where do you think we would be if all the foreign players in our team “F**KED” off back to their country?
The club can do without you and your £250. Moron’s.
I heard loads of racial abuse from ES2 targeted at a few people. It’s just like that fat man everyone abused at the Stoke match … good times
I think Sephton is having a “Dave from Skem” type breakdown.a who from where ?
I’m starting a campaign to save Wigan Athletic from relegation. The campaign is called SOS Latics. We want to give the players as much support as possible by first going to the training ground and cheering them all 1 by 1. Another idea i’ve got is going round the stadium as part of a campaign for Whelan to speak out for once.
I know for a fact moral is falling and only the Latics supporters can help. If you would like to save our Wigan Athletic FC PM me back.

If you want my two-penneth, I think by far the best and most easily achieved way of showing support is not to boo!
I don’t booSave Our Superfan, he’s been in the pub since opening ! TaxiNice One
God your title makes it sound like we’re on the brink of meltdown!Well done for the idea, but I doubt that anything you do will keep us up alone. The main factor is what the managing staff and the players do.
The things I hope to do will help the players which will helps us stay up.
We missed Boyces pace on Sunday, Melchiot is technically a better player, but he can’t get up and down the field like he once did.Your spot on there
It’s enough of a ball ache having to go and watch them play, nevermind watch them train. Thanks for thinking positive
