I can understand refs getting decisions wrong when they are having to make them in a split second, but a foul in the box when you are the last man and denying someone a clear goal scoring oppurtunity is a red card. Simple as.

A shocking decision which probably cost Villa the League cup.

I’ll wager it’s cocktails for Dowd at Ferguson Towers tonight!

Knowing Phill Dowd the bent f-ck-r probly a brown envelope before a ball was kicked

people have to remember that martinez is a young manager who still lacks experience – especially within the top flight. he has made mistakes this season & you could argue that mistakes are still being made. i think we will stay up if we can all get behind the team, manager etc between now until the end of the season rather than the constant jeering, moaning etc. surely the team will play better if we get behind them. i sometimes wonder if people on this board actually want premier league football with all the moaning, booing & so on. why can’t we support the team through good times & bad. :)

Comeing out with statements like that you know people will be saying has the chemicals spread from Widnes to Runcorn

is unfortunately, that big dave took control 20 years too late. Ive been fortunate to see us rise through the leagues, and fully believe, that 20 years ago we would have had half a chance of doin summat in this league with big daves money, but the reality is, our chairman doesnt have enough money to subsidise a successful team at this level at this time.
ive never been as dissinterested as i am now with latics, but when i think back, even in the mid 90’s when we were super cack, there was always the chance that we could compete with the best teams in whichever league we we were in. that belief now is gone.
we struggle now to sell out at old trafford, yet a few years ago more than two thousand went to torquay.
at first i personally put it down to me starting a family and money etc why i didnt go away as much, but i just dont enjoy it like i used too, fact is gettin here was much more fun than bein ere.
even our so called big moments in the prem, beatin arsenal carling cup etc, doesnt come close to the pitch invasion at coventry for the 3rd round or being 2-1 up at anfield in 89. even the local derbies seemed better.

Remember it all very well.a few spilt on the pitch at Anfield that night when we went 2.1 up.Lets not forget about that little coont mo linsey slaging us down then slivvers his way to our club.but for a club playing in the back garden of rugby league weve done ever so well

I did note though that the Wigan Warriors fans had got the idea from being season ticket holders at Anfield and Old Trafford, where flags are regularly displayed.[/quote]

Its a result of years of snobbery by the majority of the warriors fans in the past.

they used to ridicule latics something shocking also on national tv by that c(u)nt who needs to get out our club.

They would of done anything to make latics extinct in the past and wouldn’t let us use thir central park stadium in 1990 to play liverpool. How petty and bitter is that.

Also warriors fans used to attack latics fans if they see um wearing the colors of the latics, thats just wrong and no wonder most of the town doesn’t like warriors anymore with over 40% of there fans are outside of wigan.

Sorry but the warriors fans are the most bitter that football have taken over the town and is no longer a rugby town this is a fact and the attendances against each other and the local support for latics is overwhelming compared to warriors.

Thats why most latics fans can’t stand them. The fact is that it is their fault this rivalry started.

Thas reet carter could of been lot better. if Whelan hadnt of bailed them out when he could of let them crumble. now that would of been iceing on the cake. :o :o :o
