A few of u are quiet gormless to be honest. We didn’t play bad at all except for Scharner awful game. Anyway the only thing lacking in that game was creativity and the will to take a chance and gamble. I don’t agree with the booing. Not suprised they didn’t win being booed and screamed at for a mis judgment. But for all those who will defend urslef saying i didn’t boo and were shit, i dnt care. we aint world class.
I say support you team who alot of you claim to love so dearly instead of complaining. If you dnt like it support another team.
We talking to the player after a 2.5 million deal was agreed. Bargain i think he is a quality player.
Ye been watchin a few clips of him aswell lately. I think its something we need. He is enthusiastic really looks comfortable on the ball or under pressure and can also help attacking. He got a gr8 header and is commited to tackles and challenging for the ball however it may be. I personally think its a gr8 find by Martinez he looks physically and mentally strong. I can see him having no problem fitting in to the squad. So let’s hope he does well for the Latics.

it might of been his way of saying sorry to the fans after the United game which was woeful. Him givin the shirt and armband might be his way of accepting your support for the team. But what ever it is he is a great player and a loyal player also.
Sacking Martinez is not the answer just because we are not in the top half of the table doesn’t mean panic. He is trying to adapt his own style of play with his own players. Show some faith. We dn’t expect to be beating everone week in week out if we do great. But get real seriously in 1995 we were in the fourth tier at that time. I personally would like to see a few more numbers in our squad to make competition for places. This will surely improve performances because they are not gauranteed starters then. Give him time tho look at what happened to preston and bolton lately they pressed the panic button with no real reason to. Same with portsmouth paul hart got sacked. Avram Grant still not getting the team to perform. So sacking him would only exacerbate things.
I will start off by saying we won’t go down. It doesn’t take a year to get a team with a new manager new players and a new style of attacking football which in my opinion is great, to achieve success it takes a while. Last seasno we played a defensive football and to change it into an attacking free flowing build up play is very hard so i give martinez alot of credit on what he is trying to achieve. also the quality of the players are of a better standard than we are used to having except for valencia and palacios obviously. But N’Zogbia is quality Diame is a good all rounder etc. he is building his own squad. We won’t go down bcoz the teams below are worse than we are struggling for goals, money, players what ever the reason. We also have young talent with mccarthy, so i would look to what we might get to in the future rather than look down to the championship bcoz value for money i think we are worth it.
Can I ask why some people on here seem to be so obsessed with Tamudo? Who has actually seen him play and not just based their verdict on him being Espanyol’s record scorer?I’ve seen him play. He’s a great player good vision and intelligence on the field.
To be honest we are playing better than we ever have so for me it is just a plus right there. Also every team needs time to play together and get used to one an other. We have changed are team from last season alot in midfield and brought in quality. For instance Diame. Amazing player can attack and defend, strong on the ball great all round player. Thomas great tackler not bad going foward. There are others. We supply and help the fowards possibly more than ever it is all there a few things need tweaking. A few more players like Tamudo etc. And for the passing around at the back. There needs to be space before you can do anything. We shouldn’t just lamp it down field, we should control the ball be patient and make the away team frustrated or via versa.
Also just thought of 2 more not so good ones. David connelly and also Neil Mellor when we loaned him.
u missed out eric hagen he did nothing shocking and andreas granqvist :D . All lacked quality but there to build up the numbers.
We definatly need a striker or 2. Obviously Raul Tamudo. He got an impressive record and he is a loyal player captain of espanyol for almost 10 years. I also think we should sign someone called Andre-Pierre Gignac. The only trouble with this guy is he would be pricey. Although he is class we would have to pay high. We also need midfield cover without losing quality. I would say about 2 more. I also think sebastien larsson from Birmingham would be a good fit.
