I wa watching the semi finals and final of the ‘Beach Rugby’ here in France today, more than 7,000 there watching it.
Glad to see an English team won the Under 16’s, but the organisers trumped it by showing off the six nations trophy, touché……

Can we include ‘selected’ Carling Cup & FA Cup matches ?Also, will there be a Euro 2012 Qualifiers League or is that not possible because it’s during the Premier League season ?
I will be setting it up today/tomorrow Euro 2012 qualifiers will take up too much time, but I might include the final 16 games for the Carling and FA Cup to mix it up, what do you think??
I am going to go with the points system quoted above unless there are any better systems put forward, so now is the time to speak.

Have you any suggestions for this season’s prediction league?
I was going to go with:
Correct home score 2 points
Correct away score 2 points
Correct result 6 points
Bonus for all correct 5 points.Any game involving Wigan Athletic would get a 5 point bonus for having everything correct.
So 15 points for a maximum, but 20 if it was a Wigan Athletic game max.
I think the scores should be on the basis of correct result, then bonus if you get the correct score for either or both teams.
Players shouldnt get a score if they dont get the result correct.[/quote]
How do you get “bonus if you get the correct score for either or both teams” if you have to get the correct result…. surely you would have to get both scores correct to get the result???It would be a very low scoring league if you were on only getting points for guessing a correct result.
Yes difference in goals counts as well, but it has never mattered in all the years of running this….

Well done to Steve McCormick who has won the tickets…
All is not lost though: You can still book for the night by contacting Haigh Hall on 01942 832895 and quoting Cockney Latic (this will help us get more prizes like this in the future).
Costs are £26 per ticket including a four course meal, interview by Malcolm Lord and then a question and answer session. And if you want to book a table of ten, by using Cockney Latics name you’ll get the table for £230.
Thanks for those which entered.
