A total credit on BBC2 last night and watched them for about 3 hours.
Won a few medals and were a total credit to themselves and his country. Contrast them with the money grabbing footballers.I love Wigan Athletic but rapidly falling out with the professional game which is just full of greedy wanks, both foreign and home grown. Nobody at the Premiership gives a rubbish about anything except money.
Not all footballers just care about money, some will be loyal to there club.
What I find strange is that almost no footballers grew up actually supporting a team as a Season Ticket holder.
Quite a few even go to just watch certain players play, like Rio Firdinand, he went watching Liverpool to see John Barnes play a few times when they were away at London baced sides.
It’s funny how different people hear things differently isn’t it? Sky must have been pestering the club today for a line on the rumours that Sunderland are about to whisk Chalres N’Zogbia away for ten bob and a bag of grapes. Eventually they get rentaquote on the line, but there’s obviously no story in the news that N’Zogbia is happy at Latics and happy playing for Bobby so what they going to do?
I know let’s miss out loads of what was actually said so it sounds like all the lad has to do is ask nicely and we’d let him sign for Wigan Robin Park on the promise that they’ll take it easy on us in next week’s friendly. But if you were going to do that surely you wouldn’t be daft enough to then play the full interview.

By the way the Fixture List isn’t wrong, we don’t play every team home and away, it’s the new format of the league.
This year we play Chelsea, West Ham, Aston Villa, Wolves & Arsenal along with most of the North West prem teams.
Martinez should be trying to sign a left back more than anything, only N’zogbia can play there and he’s needed elsewhere.
Although, our best players are mostly attacking players, with the exception of Bramble and Diame so shouldn’t we be scoring more goals with the addition of Boselli this season than last season ?
It has been confirmed that the match between Dundee United v Wigan Athletic will kick off at 3pm on the 8th of August.
On the club website it still says TBC on the pre-season fixture list but I can assure you it’s a 3pm kick off.
Anyone on here going to Dundee ?

The only reasons he wasn’t slaughtered by the crowd in the Hull game was that Wigan dominated and Antonio had nothing to deal with.
The Checlski game (august 21st) has been moved to 5.15, to avoid dissapointment for too long on the saturday. And the Wolves game October 2nd, has been moved to the monday night to avoid being last on Match of the Day.At least the away crowd won’t be effected to much by supporters not bothering. Can’t say the same about Wigan fans though.
