23,891…….25,138 is the record attendance by WAFC…….pity our lodgers will have to wait ANOTHER 2 years to have a go at it
47747 is Wigan’s record home attendance. You seem to forget that the club actually have a HISTORY.
2. How many times since you moved into our ground have you topped 20,000 spectators for a league match?I do however know how many times The Latics have topped 20,000 for a league match.
Can you break it down into how many times has it been topped since the “novelty” first season, compared to that first year of top-flight football?
22800 was surpassed against Wolves last season :woohoo: :woohoo:

21986. almost 2,000 LESS than today’s attendance
Have another go….
Two questions ahem
1 Was it a sell out bearing in mind the capacity of the DW ?
2 I know you never anawered me last time did you actually go ?
And my personel chuffed bit is a Chubbie is bragging about a bigger attendance than the tics How times have changed
1. Yes. Due to the North/south stands being unreserved seating, then the capacity of those is cut. The corner of the Boston stand is also left unsold – probably due to that large screen that sky bring, and a clearance area should it fall. There will never be 25000 on for a Superleague game, nor will there be that figure for a PL game in the future as the North Stand capacity has been cut, and the front few rows are not sold, added to the 1st block of the Boston stand also never being sold.
2. No I didnt go. Unfortuntely I am on duty over the weekend over 150 miles from Wigan – the nature of my job means someone is on call 24/7 and if those who live locally in their own houses dont cover Bank Holidays, it means one of the young kids would have to be on call and stay in an 8 ft by 8 ft single room all weekend, rather than enjoying a weekend with their family miles away.
Now, back to my question – When was the last time yesterdays attendance was surpassed? For a bonus point, who were the opponents?

25133 – 23861 doesnt equal 2,200, or even close to it.
I’d keep my gob shut if I were you. goodpost
Its awful quiet on here – does nobody want to discuss this crowd size?

I see the wembley tickets are selling like cold pies, rather than hot cakes. Maybe I’ll pay on the day.
But each ST holder is being allowed 2 additional tickets to take those “lifelong fans” along who have never been to the DW. On another thread, someone is claiming to want 16 tickets!
I’m in the London area on that day and I went to a Latics v Chelsea game in about 2009 so I suppose I’m eligible for a ticket too!
Everyone’s saving their money for the big day out at Wembley in a couple of weeks, when all 31,000 tickets will be sold out within hours.
Its a football town tha knows…
Then they mustnt frequent C&W.
The rugby fans I know either also support WAFC, support some other team and have done for more than 30 years, or dont follow football at all.
None of them wish WAFC ill. Even my brother, who doesnt follow football or rugby expressed his pleasure at Wigan making the semis.
So you found something on a minority site – well done, but even on that the majority wish you well!
But the facts remain:
The frequenters of C&W do not give two hoots about WAFC. The lack of WAFC-related threads on there proves that. The posters above have had to trawl back almost two years to find anything on there.
Certain posters on here are obsessed with Wigan Warriors. The number of anti-rugby threads, posts and contributers proves this.
Accept it – you can shout “Wigan’s Turning Blue” all you want – it may well be. But the rugby fans really really really do not give a toss.
Wonder what the odious old queen thinks about Latics nowhope he dies a lonely nonceYou pair need to think before you type – I dont think Mr Taylor earns enough to defend a lawsuit because of your prejudices.
Homophobics – disgusting.
Does it hurt that C&W are refusing to even acknowledge your existance?
Maybe you could start dressing like this to get some attention:
Is he still alive?
If so, I’m sure Uncle Dave will get him a ticket – after all he was a loyal servant for a few years!
