One thing I reckon we all agree on is that Magennis should be nowhere near the starting line up.
I’m sure he is great behind the scenes and working with the young lads. But the sorry truth is that any ability he had has completely gone. I felt embarrassed for him on Saturday.
Can’t really argue with that, still don’t know how he missed the target with that chance in the first half on Saturday.
From what I hear Humphrys head has been all over the place recently, not sure what’s gone on but could explain his omission from the squad and place on the bench. Hopefully ,he will regain his full focus and commitment for the run in.
Spot on Skeggy, I really dont know what people expected this season but we have achieved the objective with games to spare. After all the club has been through I think Sean Maloney has worked miracles with ,as you say ,a very young squad. You can see the type of football he is trying to play , it’s frustrating at times with set backs like at Fleetwood but slowly but surely he is getting there. I would much rather have that than the welly it forward and see what happens type of football that some are advocating.

Maybe he isn’t so “deluded” after all and all the negativity posted on here is pathetic.
Another week were the whining minority will have to keep their “Maloney out” agenda to themselves
Well said Skeggy !

Good management from Maloney. Did the right thing by replacing Goode , nothing against Goode by the way really hope he regains full fitness because its clear there is something not right with him whether it be match fitness or injury. No surprise we keep a clean sheet and hold out for a much needed win. Echo what Italia is saying the Manager has done well in very difficult circumstances. Sometimes we all get frustrated but he is trying to instil a way of playing and ethos throughout the whole club that I am sure will produce dividends ,if we give him time .
Was this interview before or after the last couple of games. If it was after then what the hell is he thinking. Goode is clearly off the pace whether that’s due to injuries taking their toll or just lack of match fitness but we have started conceding a lot of goals. Morrison is streets ahead and he or Kerr have to start ahead of Goode this weekend.
Does any of the clubs hierarchy actually go to matches on a regular basis? I don’t think they do otherwise they would realise the shit being served up, I know they where out in force for the United game even Danson attended.
If any of them did attend then Maloney would have been out of the door before Christmas, they are obviously not football people they probably look at the league table once a week and think we are doing ok, these people don’t have WAFC at heart.
VAT summed it up, the club is a shit show from top to bottom, Maloney in his post match interview said he “won’t be changing the style of play” Thanks for the heads up Shaun that’ll save me a few quid on a season ticket next season! And I won’t be on my own either.
The style of football we played under Leam Richardson was far worse. You can see what Maloney is trying to do. We have to be patient , this season is all about staying up. Let’s judge him at the end of next season where , hopefully , he will have some money to spend ,it will be his squad and he will have no excuses.
Thought the middle of the back four we were poor. Charlie Hughes worst game for a wile and Goode was at fault for the first goal showing a real lack of pace hesitating when he should have put a challenge in. Generally, the distribution was so slow coming out from the back . Poor day all round , Jones was not happy when he was subbed and rightly so he was arguably our best player on a day when you were scratching your head thinking who was man of the match.

Not a huge fan of Magennis but the way we play any striker is going to be starved of service. No crosses coming in even corners are taken short. Not sure with this system we play we need a big tall out and out striker. Callum Lang would be more suited as a number 9 for his nuisance value but it looks like his days with us are numbered. Something has obviously gone on in the background ,sure we will find out in the next few weeks.
