Promising kids in the area have always been snapped up by United, City, Liverpool and Everton. Parents heads are turned, and they sign up at the age of 8 or so (or if not formally signed there are “agreements”).
My family & i bumped into the 87 latics team at manchester airport. I had my photo taken with them all. I was 15 at the time. Still got the photo.

Didn’t seem worth sending off, but this was the last game at Highbury, we were pressing, Uriah Rennie was the ref, and we are Wigan.2m 00s in.
Surely one of the fastest sendings of was Andreas Johansson at Highbury. He literally came on, Arsenal took a free kick into the area and he was sent off.
Id like to have seen borenwood win today.had a few visits to ther over the years when we be going watching the latics.That’s not the feeling on a few football FB groups.
The general view is that it is Boring Wood.In the last 2 weeks I seen at least 3, possibly 4, really really good videos made by the Club. 1. Will Grigg. 2. ‘A thousand journeys’. 3. A great account of the Doncaster day 4. Another ‘thousand journeys’, so now I can remember all those there may even be 5.I guess they’ll be on You Tube and the Club website. I think Nick Taylor is the driving force behind them, but there is clearly a very good guy who does filming / editing.
