How do the experts see Wigan Athletic’s game against Manchester City, let’s have a look at how the pundits and bookies see this game going at the weekend….
Mark Lawrenson has gone predictably for a Manchester City win at the DW Stadium on Sunday. The BBC pundit is currently lying in the top ten of the Cockney Latic Prediction League.
He said about his prediction; Manchester City need to win this game. They lost at Sunderland, drew at Blackburn and the pressure will mount on manager Roberto Mancini very quickly and questions will be asked such as ‘what’s his best team’? and ‘how’s the atmosphere in the dressing room?’. An away win at Wigan will just about take the pressure off.
Wigan have showed in patches this season that they have a few good things going for them, but whether it’s enough to avoid relegation, I’m not so sure.
Of the Prediction League users (sponsored by Workit Recruitment) 16% are going for 1-0 to Manchester City, 7/1 on Betfair. It is a must win game for City which will relax the pressure on us and as we have proved in the past, we generally play better against the heavily funded teams.
Betfair, the fastest growing betting site in the UK, they have it going the way of a 1-1 Draw with odds of 6/1, 2-0 to the Latics is at 33/1 and 2-1 to Latics an 18/1 punt.
We are favourites to lose game at 4/5, but if you think we’ll nick we have odds of 4/1. So if betting is something you do, maybe a try of Betfair is something to consider.
Registration is easy, the odds are usually better than anywhere else (if there not you can ask for better) and to round it off, if your first bet loses they will refund it for you up to the value of £25. For instance, if you have £25 on Latics to beat City 1-0 at 16/1 you will be paid £425, if Latics don’t win – you get your £25 back.
