No matter how long you have watched this game bet youve never seen that before.
How many injury lawyers be on to him tommorrow?
24 January 2013 at 1:58 am #101081I never realised that being a Ball Boy could be so Hazardous !! B)

I’m glad the ballboy took a dive as soon as he felt contact and made a meal of it……give him a taste of his own medicine.
I was a ballboy in the late eighties at Springfield Park and we were all told to take our time if we are winning and if we are losing or drawing hurry up.

Then you’d have deserved a kicking, too ;)
24 January 2013 at 2:11 am #101087Havent seen the incident but I was told the ballboy was guilty of gross timewasting, he gave the ball to Torres

The only tragedy was that he should have been kicked in the head. The ball boy dived on top of the ball FFS!
24 January 2013 at 2:19 am #101089What’s the difference between Eden Hazard and Jimmy Saville?
One beats ball boys and the other beats boys’ balls.

I remember getting a bollocking of Mark Kendal the Wolves goalie for deliberately taking my time, I just grinned and felt like I’d done my bit for my team.

24 January 2013 at 2:43 am #101095The ballboy looked like a propper annoying little twat.
But while Hazard will sleep sound tonight in his 4 poster bed that kid will have a number of death threats on the way to him from bitter blues to think about…..
24 January 2013 at 2:59 am #101096Saw it very clearly on TV looks bad and I’m sure we haven’t heard the last of this-very lengthy ban in my view if proven to be deliberate.
fair play to the other Chelsea players checking the lad was ok-he’s only a kid for heavens sake!
So glad Swansea went through to what will probably be the most interesting and captivating cup final for decades.24 January 2013 at 2:59 am #101097I have never understood why players never say thanks or at least acknowledge ball boys/girls. It doesn’t matter who you are, manners should go hand in hand with any sport in my opinion ! If I was a professional footballer I would think nothing of saying cheers or thanks ! Ignorant fcukin joy boys !
24 January 2013 at 3:24 am #101100A tweet from the ball boy has just been shown on SSN, hours before the game were he is bragging about being the worlds best ball boy and time waster.
I’m not condoning what hazzard did, but the little shyte was deliberately trying to stop him getting the ball back. I also think hazard was trying to kick the ball and not the lad. A bit of wilful time wasting has backfired on the boy.
Hazard got the red card, apologised to the lad after the game and that should be it.Lets congratulate Swansea for reaching the final, its a shame that their moment of glory will play second fiddle to the hazard incident and that’s a shame. :(

Exactly.
Didn’t Doncaster Rovers try to press charges when Izzy Diaz pushed a ball boy back in the 96/97 season?
24 January 2013 at 4:20 am #101104Daily Mail names him as a son of a director of Swansea.
Notwithstanding any of that, and agreeing completely with JR he is an annoying little twonk, it is up to the referee to add time on that he deems to have been lost for whatever reason, and players cannot kick out at anyone for any reason. It is clear violent conduct, and is a red card offence.
