Just heard Martinez has signed him. Don’t think we have any out and out strikers now. It will be a struggle next season, when Whelan said two seasons to return, I am now beginning to see why.
27 June 2013 at 11:32 am #116957What source???
27 June 2013 at 12:22 pm #116959Daily Mail, so it must be true.
It probably is though, along with Alcaraz.
At least they’ve gone quite early in the window. All we need now is McCarthy and Maloney out the door quickly so we can see how much we have to spend.
We’re a run of the mill Championship club now, reflected in the level of player we are signing and appearing to be interested in. Need to get used to it fellas.
27 June 2013 at 12:28 pm #116960Oh how we would have loved to have been “a run of the mill championship team” 15 years ago !!!!!!!!

Yeah these 2 are gone, no doubt. I’m not all that sure Maloney will leave. McCarthy is a good one because the media have made him sound like Zidane to hammer up his already overrated price.
I think these players leaving is a good thing. Kone doesn’t want to be here so has to go, We have tried in the past to keep onto unhappy players and it just get’s worse, A la Chimbonda and Kapo. Players like Figeuroa and Boyce have been relied upon far to long, The team needs freshening up with new younger blood. Players who have a bit more to their game. I would keep Boyce around though as back up, Only because of his work behind the scenes and influence on the training pitch though.
My team for next season would look something like this.
……………………………..1.Nicholls……………………….
2.Brayford/Trippier…..4.Dunne……5.Ramis……3.Michael Keane(loan)
……………………………..6.McArthur………………………..
.7.McManaman……….8.McGugan…………..11.Espinoza……….
…………………….10.Maloney…………………………………
……………………………9.Sharp…………………………….Bench.
Pollit/New keeper
Boyce
Campabadal
Beasuajour
McCann
Januzaj (loan)

Wonder if Dave Whelan will have a pop at all the deadwood martinez signed that leaves us where we are now, before jumping ship and now coming back to strip us bare.
Still he loves WAFC so he will be forgiven by the same ones who couldn’t see through the bullshit of the last four years.

If you mean Coyle he said that everyone in the world knows about his release clause and if its met they will most likely have to do business….
Is this the bullshizzles you refer to or am I missing something?
Be gentle if I am missing something :)

Nobody else seems to be hungry, I can’t get a bite out of anyone these days, that includes the two worst you and the five year old
27 June 2013 at 11:25 pm #116994I heard it this morning. Moose on the Alan Brazil breakfast show said he has signed him. If we can keep Maloney and Mcmanaman I think we will do pretty well. These two will stand out in the championship.
When is Gomez going to Everton, anyone know?27 June 2013 at 11:43 pm #116996Just heard Martinez has signed him. Don’t think we have any out and out strikers now. It will be a struggle next season, when Whelan said two seasons to return, I am now beginning to see why.
