Dunno bout the rest of you lads but I’m getting absolutely shit faced tonight. What a result and after what we all have been through since July 1st its every Latics fans duty to be drunk at the end of the night. Well done Liam and the boys and thank you so much for a bit of cheer at long last. COYL
5 December 2020 at 5:52 pm #190193Enjoy your evening – after the shit you’ve had to put up with, nobody can begrudge you a glass or two.
Serious question for those who’ve watched the games this season – where does that performance rank?
5 December 2020 at 6:47 pm #190194Cheers mutt thanks for that marrer.
5 December 2020 at 6:52 pm #190195Today’s performance was drastically improved from Sheridan being in charge. We’re starting to look organised and cut out a lot of the comical errors we used to make. Back four and goalkeeper have played THREE games in a row together and starting to show a bit of understanding. Can’t say too much about midfield and attack due to the continued enforced changes so their all still raw and a work in progress.
5 December 2020 at 7:02 pm #190196Backs to the wall as every has been and will be.
We’re starting to look better now the experienced lads are coming back but will still be a long hard slog.
I’ve criticised Jamie Jones this season but he was excellent today.
5 December 2020 at 7:27 pm #190198I saw the predictions on the other Latics site and smiled at the pessimism shown there by some who clearly still thought we were a top side with quality and attacking prowess all over the field!
I’ve seen every Sunderland league game this season, and you were pretty much of the same standard as most of the sides we have faced recently. Sides seem to set themselves up to take advantage of the one guaranteed fuck-up per game by either the keeper, centre halves or central midfielder, then park the bus safe in the knowledge that our hopes for a goal rest on a £3m dud who’s confidence is shot to bits or a twice-signed Newcastle fan who appears to be on a mission to never intentionally score for the team he hates the most, yet pays his wage.
Considering you have a team of kids who are learning day by day, if I were you, I’d be very confident that there are four worse sides in the league come game 46.
Good luck for the rest of the season.
5 December 2020 at 7:44 pm #190200Can we have your “dud” back?
5 December 2020 at 8:09 pm #190201I’d go up there, collect him and drive him to you. As would pretty much every Sunderland fan.
We couldnt even get rid of him to Salford.
5 December 2020 at 8:26 pm #190202Off you pop.
Training is 10am at Christopher Park.
5 December 2020 at 11:29 pm #190203Congrats to the team on the brilliant win against all odds.
With all what’s going on off the field with the club,
it’s amazing they can concentrate on their game,
with all the flak they have had to put up with. The team has been thrown together, due to the crisis the club are in,
true, they have shown some inexperience at times, but any club would
struggle, if they had been in our shoes at present. The club is facing an uncertain future and so are the players,
feelings are running very high with some fans at present and
are falling out with one another. The Club surely needs some luck in finding the right owners very soon,
as we have been kicked from pillar to post in the last few months.6 December 2020 at 11:22 am #190205Will Grigg and Max Power did a tremendous job for us yesterday, men of the match for me!
Fuck the EFL
12 December 2020 at 6:40 pm #190270Pissed again toneet well done again lads yes it got a bit close for comfort but we did it .
12 December 2020 at 7:12 pm #190271Got to say Leam Richardson has to be offered the managers job from who ever takes us over.He might not want it but he should be given first refusal. He has been absolutely brilliant.Anyway ,bottle of red awaits !
12 December 2020 at 7:42 pm #190272Far too close for comfort but the beer is flowing
12 December 2020 at 9:16 pm #190273The Accy Chairman:
”Staff gave us an old bottle of wine and because I tweeted it,
the administrators took it off us and bollocked them.It wasn’t their fault they were being as friendly as they could under the circumstances”.
I’m reading this with disbelief,
I’m nearly 70 and i’m crying like a baby, with anger at how low these Bxxxxxd Admins
have sunk this Great Club of ours and treated our opponents with such disrespect. They know the price of everything and the value of nothing.
